had a quick look in a few books for a diagram with a late model single plug.--no luck. but what i found was CA16DE EXA pin 10 switched to earth. NC in neutral. O volts pin test. NO in gear 12V pin test. clutch switch in parrallel. CA18DE[EXA} pin 36 as above. Pin 44 is idle switch possitive terminal...

r31 neutral switch is to ground so you need to check. its prob best to fit switch to the clutch.it can be in gear but with the clutch depressed thats the same as in neutral. some cars have simple pressure switch to trigger the stop lights.
