Re: Warmed engine, no knock; what controls timing
That's what I figured. The only reason I ask was because I had to make sure large change to the k constant and I wasn't sure if it made more sense to have to adjust everything else. I know about tweaking the load scales to get the map best utilized, but I don't know about the cranking table or TTP (...

Re: Warmed engine, no knock; what controls timing
Okay. New plugs installed, created a new tune on the correct base. The car is running alright now, but i need to tweak it to get it happy idling and such. Now I have a question. I resized the injectors with the built in tool. Doing so adjusts the k-value to from 288 (stock 370cc injectors) down to 1...

Re: Warmed engine, no knock; what controls timing
Not sure what's going on, but it looks like it sort of uses the values in TP row 34 as the last row in the ignition map. Once TP gets over ~ 35 it looks like it is still reading this particular row in the ignition map to calculate the timing and is ignoring the values in the TP corresponding rows.[/...

Re: Warmed engine, no knock; what controls timing
input? Received new spark plugs today and I'm ready to get back at it. Not sure how to approach it though. Also, I'd like to add that I'm having trouble loading up the correct base file. While hooked up to the ECU I see this as my ECU type (I believe thats what this is) http://img192.imageshack.us/i...

Re: Nistune and SELIN DUAL MAF Translator
I had heard there was a power advantage to one setting over the other, I forget which. Most people just set it for whatever there generic tune chip is set for, but others with piggybacks/standalones have been able to try both and saw gains. I forget which one, but I will look for it and report back ...

Re: Warmed engine, no knock; what controls timing
hm, thanks for catching the base image, i'll have to double check that. Also about the knock map, I have my knock sensor disabled (resistor), but from what I've heard, the car can still access the knock map occasionally, so I'll do the knock copy. I found a melted ground strap on one of my spark plu...

Re: Warmed engine, no knock; what controls timing
I've attached one of my bin's that I've been messing with to figure out this timing. I totally understand and agree that there is way too much timing top end and I cant figure out why.

Re: Warmed engine, no knock; what controls timing
Any input? I'm concerned to even drive the car until I can pinpoint why I'm having such advanced timing. I'd actually have to go negative on the timing map to bring it within reason...

Re: Warmed engine, no knock; what controls timing
I'll admit I haven't scoured nistune completely, but I will ask, in addition to the "warm up" advance (even at operating temp?) what else could be causing this timing? Does that timing not seem high for full boost/load? It was nearly 30 when I first data-logged it!

Warmed engine, no knock; what controls timing
I'm combating some high end knock currently, and I've noticed that even when the car is up to temp and the knock system is disabled (resistor in ECU path, sees no knock for tuning purposes) I am running more timing than I am trying to dictate the car to have. Notice the position on the map vs the da...

Auxiliary Injector control
Hey guys! Looking to see if anyone has used nistune to control auxiliary "injectors" to control things other than fuel (gasoline) injectors. Such as PWM's (pulse width modulation) for water methanol injection. I'm considering my options for water meth and I'm thinking I'd rather use PWM's ...

Lock icon on *.bin files
Not really a bug, just not sure whats going on. I went to look in the directory of my bin files today and noticed a bunch were missing. I then opened nistune and saw that I could still access them through the program. I noticed that all the "missing" ones have a little lock icon showing up...

Matt, I just switched nistune over to my new laptop. Only ran in to one problem which was related to the one which I started this thread about. I am receiving 2 different readings from my wideband (lc-1). On the initial window which pops up I start the connection to the wideband in nistune, I see wh...
