2 step launch control

I was wondering if there is any sort of coding possible which could utilize the rev limiter to create a two-step launch control system. Something where when the clutch is depressed and the throttle is wide open, a rev limiter is implemented at an adjustable level (say 3500rpm or so), then when you l...

the only problem with that unit is that you need a female-to-female gender changer to use that with the innovative unit as the innovative output is male according to what I've read.

Hey everyone. I was looking at converters from DB9 serial to USB for the innovative LC-1 on ebay and the ones I've been finding are all from male USB to male Serial... I found one that includes a female to female serial converter which would work fine, however its with a 50 inch usb cable. I was won...

I've just purchased an LC-1 so I hope I can resolve all this once I actually figure out how everything works.

I will try the 1m Ohm resistor at the sensor point just to check, though again, I never had the code show up before installing nistune and new injectors at the same time. I highly doubt that the injectors are the problem. as for the knock sensor, I know how to replace it and its not bad at all to pu...

can you get your hands on another ECU perhaps ? you can try the resistor mod to disable it just for test.. I cannot get another ECU, and I don't see the logic in doing so. Why would I disable the knock sensor, I don't see the benefit of running that "test". I do not believe nistune is mal...

haven't you used the "resize injectors" tool of nistune ? Yes, and I put in the stock size and new size, so it should have a rough tune, however I was receiving the knock code so I was worried. did you use screened cable for the rewire and ground it properly.. these knock sensors are pron...

hmm, I've never had that code before installing nistune, and when I rebuilt my engine the knock sensor read around 540kohms (which I compared to a new one which read about the same). I rewired the entire knock sensor all the way back to the ECU because my harness had been damaged somewhere along its...

Knock detected on baseline tune

Hey everyone. So I drove my car more than just in and out of the driveway today with nistune for the first time since install. I was receiving a knock code occasionally, but do not yet have a wideband to complete actual tuning. I have injectors which are double the size of the stock (740cc vs 370cc)...

Well I'll take a look under my car and find an acceptable spot on the drivers side mid-pipe (as the drivers side on the VG engine tends to run hotter/leaner).

thanks for the input!

Wonderful, thank you. now I have a question about sensor placement. My downpipes came with auxiliary bungs for wideband 02's. I have been hearing that they may be too close to the turbo to use. Any input on this? (image below shows the position of the bung) http://www.z1motorsports.com/imagemagic.ph...

LC-1 Serial to USB

I've been researching which wideband product to use with nistune and I believe I will be going with the innovative LC-1 unit. I noticed it's only available with a serial output, so I would have to get a serial to USB adapter as my laptop does not have a 9pin serial input. are there any problems with...

true of course, but I would assume the base tune is fairly rich across the board. I am learning about the wideband products available for our vehicle and am trying to find which one is the best deal for me. I think I'll be going with the lc-1 as it seems to be the least expensive and gives me the fe...

so can anyone tell me a bit about the base tune? I have yet to pick up a wideband 02 so I have not changed anything from the base tune that came on the board except setting it to handle my new injectors. Is the base tune fairly rich and safe to boost on? I'm running relatively low boost (15psi) as i...
