Re: E85 vs. CA18DET

You all really need to check you EGT when adjusting timing map with E85 because E85 burns much slower then gasoline you will almost certainly run very high EGT temperatures when you switch to E85. When I started mapping for E85 I quickly saw the EGT rise to over 1100 degrees Celsius, we added more p...

was i the pump? shoudlnt the car run lean if its pump?:P The problem we had with the idle could be a mix of both the pump not giving correct pressure and the TPmin values. Yesterday with the new address file I think i got a bit closer to 14,7 at idle but when going on boost and AFRs just getting hi...

Status update. The new adress file made the car react more to the changes but when driving on the road strange things started to happen and after a lot of trouble shooting I condemned his fuel pump to HELL!!, it couldn’t deliver enough pressure so nothing really got done in Nistune :-( His fixing a ...

Yeah, that's what I did with the GA. Once target idle was increased to match real idle speed the timing moved up to where it should be. PL I will try to adjust the target idle speed and see if I get any reactions. The rev range for this seems to be matching up with the "Flaged" O2 cells. ...

put this in your C:\Program Files\Nistune\Address directory TTPMin will be proper values then. Its actually 1/10 of the displayed values and I've fixed it for the next release Whats your injector pulsewidth? I maanged to get 0.6ms with 0 latency, lowest k constant and TTPmin set to 0 Great Matt! I ...

Just going of TPS idle the ignition drops to 5 degrees

Hello again and yet another question from me :-)

Going of TPS idle before engine reaches approx 65 degrees the egnition drops to 5 degrees and as a result the cars runs like crap :-) any ide where i might find the table that controls this very annoying function?

regards

Car idles 11.3 AFR with K value=0 and Latency=70 us !?!

Hi Was helping a friend to tune his car yesterday, ca18det with nismo pink 555cc. nothing I did made the car run lean as the topic reads i had the K value at 0 and the latency down to around 70 us and the dam car still ran rich during idle and when revving. The only thing the car seem to respond to ...

Sounds like you have some very strange problems. The fact that it gets a lot richer after gear change is because of your dumpvalve. The reasons for the AFRs to suddenly change after your Friday meet could be because a vacuum leak or maybe a exhaust leak.

Do you have an atmospheric dumpvalve or an recycling? If you have an atmospheric I think thats your problem.

No need to apologize for asking. You could try to play around with the Acceleration vs TPS (Increase fuel) in Nistune.

Have you done a wideband input trace?

If Nistune and the wideband display shows different values you most likely chosen the wrong Wideband lookup table in the Nistune configuration.

Your gauge then is either broken or the cable in the back is not thoroughly connected.

Check the main ECU harness connector. happens all the time, you think you connected it but after unscreweing it and then connecting it again the car works.
