Hi Matt,
I am using an older laptop running Windows 8.1 and the version of Nistune I have installed is working just fine for me. I don't want to update my Nistune software at the moment so I would like to know if there is anyway to turn off the software deactivation?
Thanks.

Re: Nistune Error Message
Thanks Matt. >> Strange. Consult part number has been changed to ????? The ????? have always been there. If I knew this was not normal I would have told you about it when I first received the board. This is the problem when you live in the sticks like me...nobody to compare to. >> Might be a good id...

Re: Nistune Error Message
>> Use the matching part number against what is displayed by the ECU part number you get at the top of the screen
If only it was that easy. When I connect using Nistune I get ECU: 23710-????? REV: 14(U)

Re: Nistune Error Message
Got it. The only issue I have is selecting the correct ROM in the ROM pack within Type2\Z32_VG folder. Which one do you recommend? My ECU manufacturer part # is A18-A40 M71 9810. I tried to use the posted Nissan_Part_List.xls to map from the ECU manufacturer part # to the Nissan Part # but mine is n...

Re: Nistune Error Message
>> New maps definitions (like knock count) will not be available in that older image Not sure I follow. Do you mean different base files in the ROM pack contain different features like knock count? i.e. Z32_VG30DETT_31P02_1990_MT_FED.BIN does not contain the same features as Z32_VG30DETT_41P03_MT_JD...

Nistune Error Message
It has been a while since I have done some tuning, but now I get the following error on any ROM I load: "Loaded tune file does not contain a known ECU part number and requires repair. Copy maps from file in the ROM pack?" I never got this before and it is not isolated to 1 ROM (I have many...

Re: need help:logging boost and air fuel
>> the mpx4250 reads up to 36 psi absolute (PSIA) which is about 21 psi on the gauge (PSIG)
There are several different models of the MPX4250. MPX4250GP is the gauge version. MPX4250AP is the absolute version. If you get the gauge version I believe it measures 0-36 gauge.

Re: Windows 7 64 bit and FTDI Drivers
I did a little more digging...
My old laptop that worked with my Blitz cable used drivers from Cygnal Integrated Products, Inc.
It turns out Silicon Labs purchased Cygnal. Given this, I am probably using the correct drivers for my version of the Blazt cable.

Re: Windows 7 64 bit and FTDI Drivers
I found that Silicon Labs has a CP210x USB to UART Bridge Virtual COM Port (VCP) driver. Seems to work, but did not try too much.
FYI... www.blazt.biz has been down for a couple of months.

Re: Windows 7 64 bit and FTDI Drivers
Did some Blazt cables use Silicon Labs while other Blazt cables use FTDI?

Re: Windows 7 64 bit and FTDI Drivers
FTDI, 2.08.14, 64 bit drivers. That is what I tried, but get:
Windows was unable to install you CP2102 USB to UART Bridge Controller.
Windows could not find driver software for your device.

Re: Windows 7 64 bit and FTDI Drivers
Thanks for the reply.
I am using a Blazt cable. Does anybody know if there are Windows 7 64 bit drivers for this cable?
Does anybody know what happened to www.blitz.biz? Are they out of business?
Is there a recommended cable that works with Windows 7 64 bit?

Re: Windows 7 64 bit and FTDI Drivers
Attached is the error I got when attempting to use the drivers from FTDI.
PS: I also tried the drivers in the Nistune directory and got the same error. C:\Program Files (x86)\Nistune\FTDI_Win2K_XP_Vista_Drivers

Windows 7 64 bit and FTDI Drivers
I got a new Intel laptop with Windows 7 SP1, 64 bit. I have a type 2 board. I have a blazt cable. I installed the ROM pack and Nistune 10.11. Went to connect and Nistune would not connect. I then get the FTDI 64 bit drivers, version 2.08.14, from http://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/VCP.htm. I tried inst...
