I had some time to go through the document and appended some notes. Hope they help. Let me know if you can't read them, I did the edits in Preview, but can see them in Acrobat at work.
Overall a fantastic resource, and clearly setting this product above the market.

Just a suggestion: if the authority were available, it seems like a good idea to not only fix ignition timing and AFR thru the testing process, but also raise the idle speed sufficiently to get beyond variability induced by big cams and insensitive MAF's. The software could drive the IAC motor all t...

USB hub for NIStune & WBO2 inputs?
Has anyone tried using a USB hub to collect the signals from NIStune and their WBO2 into a single cable heading for the laptop?
Ideally I'd like to have a powered hub behind the dash and just have to connect a single cable when tuning.

Turns out I've been having some connectivity problems too, with both the NIStune and Zeitronix. I tried re-installing the FDTI drivers, unplugging and replugging the USB cables, trying different cables, etc. Usually after 10-15 minutes of fiddling and rebooting the laptop it connects. Once connected...

Gear Fuel map RPM switch?
Unit: '91 J30 ecu I've observed that the ECU doesn't switch to the gear map until 3k rpm (80ish mph) in 5th. I tested this by filling the fuel map with 14.7 and the gear map with 12.7. I'm sure the second fuel map is the gear map as I can spin up to 90mph in 3rd and 4th without going rich. This also...

Z32 mapping questions
On the stock Z32 fuel maps, they go leaner than stoich (15.xx) for most of cruise. Is there a reason for this? Better MPG, some EGR thing, etc.
Has anyone changed this (richer/leaner)? Why? Like the results?
Just noticed looking over the calibration and was curious.

I'm getting the same thing with a Zeitronix.modulation wrote:With the new version, when I log my AFR's they show up properly, however when I play the log back they show up as lambda? on the AFR 3D trace table and as a whole number on the log player (I.E. 13.00) never any number in decimal places besides .00.

Data Logging Module
This isn’t so much an enhancement as an additional product. Often I don’t want to have the laptop in the car while “testing”. It’s awkward, expensive, etc. Also, there are times when I’d like to log some sensor data out of the blue (engine’s knocking for some reason, running funny…). And lastly, you...

MAF position: Draw-thru vs. Blow-thru
I was hoping to get some input from the group on actual experience running and tuning one layout vs. the other. There are plenty of opinions out there... How about some good data? Anyone tuned back-to-back configurations? How did your calibration change? Did the MAF reliability vary?
Thanks.
Thanks.
