Re: AFM <1.000v = very rich rough idle
maybe the engine has started to loosen up a bit and needs less air to keep the idle ticking over? Another thing you could try is pull some timing out of the idle, it will have to compensate by opening the idle bypass and increase airflow slightly...

Re: AFM <1.000v = very rich rough idle
my sr20 does exactly the same thing. I fixed it by raising the idle slightly. Not sure if there is a better way to get around it.

Re: does the s13 sr20det ecu have any short/long term trim table
fair enough then. I've never even had a ride in an evo, let alone tuned one.

Re: does the s13 sr20det ecu have any short/long term trim table
Looking at the consult stream, I think the sr20 does have a fast and slow learning trim value. The fast trim i'm guessing is part of the main 02 feedback loop, it is constantly changing depending on the 02 sensors's output. If the load is held at one point for a few seconds then the slow table start...

Re: S13 SR20DET (red top) problems.
just getting back to the injector latency for a second, I did a little more googling, I found somewhere that said that all jecs (380, 480, 555 and possibly 740) injectors have the same latency of 0.58us, not sure if this is true or not. It also said that the tomei, blitz, nismo and a couple of other...

Re: S13 SR20DET (red top) problems.
i have the nismo 555 injectors, I found a table that showed latency was .61ms at standard fuel pressure for these injectors. Mine runs perfectly, I only had to tweak the K value the tiniest bit to get perfect 14.7. I would suggest going back the standard afm temporarily, get the injectors sorted out...

Re: AFM Advice - Z32 Alternatives
hmm, interesting.
Out of interest do you know what the two different elements are for? are they for low/high range measurement?

need info about sr20 throttle enrich tables
Can anyone fill me in on how the throttle enrich works on a s13 sr20det ecu, unfortunately the documentaion doesn't seem to cover half the tables that I see in my list. Specifically I would like to know: Q offset rpm... no idea what this is? Increase Fuel... it seems that 'mV' is a function of 'valu...

Re: AFM Advice - Z32 Alternatives
i suspect that the only difference between an rb afm and a z32 afm is the configuration of resistors/amplifiers inside the device that give you the signal range that you need.
If i had a spare one that I could ruin, then i'd like to crack one open and see what makes them tick

Re: I can't set timing to 15deg....solved!!
I found the problem, the exhaust cam was one tooth off. Not sure how this happened, I double and tripple checked the cam timing when i changed the cams recently, maybe it skipped a tooth when it first started and the chain was still slack.
anyway, thanks for the responses and advice.

Re: I can't set timing to 15deg.... wtf?
yeah mate i've already done this, i've tried the little loop at the back of the engine, i've tried a HT lead between the coil and the plug and i've tried the pickup on the coil wiring as it is in the video. They all give exactly the same result... I know some people have trouble with the loop at the...

Re: I can't set timing to 15deg.... wtf?
i know what your saying, my problem is I can't get the gun timing to match the consult timing.... I can get it to have a perfect idle with consult reporting rock steady 15deg timing with the cas rotated to the end of its adjustment the max gun timing I can get is 10deg. Or if i advance the cas 1 too...

does the s13 sr20det ecu have any short/long term trim table
Can anyone tell me if a standard s13 sr20det ecu has any short/long term fuel trim tables?
