Re: Advice on MAF change and Injector resize for RB26DETT

So I;m still waiting for filters for the RB20DET MAFs so I finished the job using the standard MAFs. I ended up with pretty much the automatically scaled values for K. The latency was where I went wrong I think. Along with worrying too much about getting the idle AFR right, that seems to be fairly v...

Re: AEMNet support

Aem have come back and said the usb interface doesn't have a data stream so it looks like the aemnet/canbus option is the only one. As an interim I hooked it up to a DLP to test the analog outputs but they are hopeless; inaccurate and noisy. Seems a common issue with wideband analog outputs and aem ...

Re: AEMNet support

The aemnet message for this gauge is in the instructions. But I don't know if that's also what is sent to the usb port. The gauge has a built in usb lead and their software can see realtime afr, boost and rpm but it also has spare "aemnet" pins on the back connector the connector is an opt...

AEMNet support

Hi Guys, do you think you'd be able to add support for AEMNet? Looks like AEM's answer to Innovates MTX. Based on CAN bus by the look of it. I wanted to replace my old series LM1 with a AEM Failsafe which logs boost afr and RPM and just assumed there would be a regular serial output for nistune to c...

Re: Advice on MAF change and Injector resize for RB26DETT

That's smashing thanks Matt. I re-read the manual(s), I last played in depth with nistune many years ago and the manuals have all been updated since I last looked. Logging the "pre changes" was well worth while. The lambda feedback had been disabled by the last person to map the car, by se...

Advice on MAF change and Injector resize for RB26DETT

Currently running a slightly tuned nistune (type 2 board on R32 ECU) with load scale adjusted and some tweaks to fuel and timing using standard injectors and MAFs. Only mods being exhaust and boost controller. I've got some purple top HKS 600cc injectors and a pair of GTST MAFs. Can I check what the...

any more thoughts on this matt? i cant see any settings in the LM1 software for this.

prob as it is now, is that you cant see the third digit on the 3d trace display in nistune and obviously theres a bit of a diff between 12.9 and 12.0 AFR :)

wow quick work Matt :) think that just about covers it! so, re the O2 toggle not sure the outcome of what your saying? right now if i go to a cell on the fuel map with flag on with value say 190 and hit "O" the value doesn't change, so i'm guessing the underlying value hasn't changed and t...

the LM1 is setup as per the original innovate install (i'm not sure where i'd look in logworks to change that)

would it help to have a screen shot / log file? though the AFRs would be set at 20 (fresh air) as a can't be arsed to get under the car to screw the lambda sensor into the exhaust :)

Nistune + Ostrich + LM1 + Blazt = Joy

Just though i'd feedback that i've got nistune hooked up with my ostrich, lm1 and blazt consult cable - hurray Consult data stuff all works including map tracing, the lm1 has got a little tiny issue (reads x10) but it works and i've successfully pulled the ROM image off the ostrich - not yet sent a ...

Series 1 LM1 reading x10

I've hooked up nistune to my old LM1 series 1 (the old serial port grey box) with a old belkin usb serial converter - seems to work fine :)

Only one issue: the AFRs read x10 so instead of 14.7 you get 147.0

any thoughts?

i've been a bit shy with getting on to SRR to book some time - not sure how they'll take it if i phone em up and say; hey i've got some software i dont know how to use, can i come down and waste some your dyno operators time while he patiently watches me make a dogs dinner out a simple task that he'...

i'm in twickenham - funny you should say that, i did have surrey rolling road in mind for the on boost/ high load mapping. i'm still trying to figure out which of my friends i trust enough to drive for the road mapping .... i'm right in thinking that for these sort of purposes i shouldn't adjust the...
