Using narrowband simulated output with BNR32 ECU??
Quick question: Is it possible to use the Narrowband simulated output from an Innovate MTX on a BNR32 ECU? (I can change the lean/rich values to whatever I want). I want to get rid of the factory O2 sensors, I don't trust them anymore and would rather not buy a new one. Plus, my MTX is taking place ...

Re: RB26 - Wont idle, running extremely rich
Still trying to sort this problem...
When the engine is "cold" it seems to run half decent now. (With the stock R33 parts and ECU). However, when the ECU reads the coolant temp as 50-60 degrees is when the idle hunting and AFR starts going out of wack. Faulty temperature sensor maybe?

Re: RB26 - Wont idle, running extremely rich
Matt, I've been working flat out on this thing and am getting no where. I'm completely stumped. Can you please take a look at the below series of events and provide your thoughts? 1) This car is an R32 GTS4 that has an RB26 from an R33 GTR swapped in to it. Everything seems to be legit on the swap, ...

Re: RB26 - Wont idle, running extremely rich
Matt, Appreciate the heads up on the nistune test release. I'll try that today. After work I'm going to try and clean those MAFs, reinstall the Z32 ones and play around with the K constant again. Two questions: 1) If the K constant was wrong, would that explain the engine rpm going up and down by it...

RB26 - Wont idle, running extremely rich
Hello all, I have an RB26 that's having some frustrating issues. Back story: I just finished putting the engine back in. About 10km (yes, ten kilometers) previous to pulling the engine I had replaced my R32 GTR MAFs with Z32 MAfs (R32 MAFs were in REALLY rough shape and were getting funny when it wa...

Individual licence limitations
Hey guys, Just want to make sure I understand this correctly, pertaining to the individual software licence: This licence allows you to access 3 different address files or 5 diffident ECU IDs. It only counts an ID or address file once I sync, thus, I can connect/consult with infinite ECUs and it wil...

Re: Fresh install - Limp mode - help?
Eric, yes I have checked for a short and have found nothing. Matt, I appreciate the offer but I am on the east cost of Canada. By the time I send it to you and get it back plus pay for your time I could easily get another ECU. At this point I guess my only other option is to purchase another ECU and...

Re: Fresh install - Limp mode - help?
Ok, so I've spent more time on this. I've checked continuity for everything single thing I've touched. All check out. I checked continuity on stock EPROM (very gentle ensuring not to press down on the pins to make a temporary contact) to the board an it checks out. So one of two things happened: 1) ...

Re: Fresh install - Limp mode - help?
Update: The stock EPROM chip wasn't as damaged as I thought as when I installed the chip the pin was long enough to still make contact (verified with multimeter). I installed the stock chip and no change. Still in limp mode. I then took the time to ensure continuity between the 28 pin socket to the ...

Fresh install - Limp mode - help?
Hey guys, I've installed a nistune board into my BNR32 ECU yesterday. Having done a Megasquirt before this I thought for sure I could handle doing one chip... Not so sure anymore. My car is now in limp mode and will not connect. I cannot figure this out. I checked for continuity between the bottom o...

guricha, That picture looks great. What set up for 02 sensors are you using? Matt, Please see this wideband... http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/products/MTXL.php In the key features it lists: "(2) 0-5v fully programmable linear analog outputs for use with engine management systems “closed-loo...
