Re: Nissan crowd obsessed with Speed Density/MAP based tunin
Has anyone considered third party hardware to convert the maf itself to map and leaving the ecu software alone? There are a number of converters available for this that require some datalogging to tune the converter before removing the maf. An intake senser is a must to do this properly. A temp corr...

Re: RX-7 injectors on a CA18DET
I use turbo injectors in my L28ET. No problems with them. They are from the 87 or 88 turbo.

Re: CA18DET - Base setup help
Make sure your erths on the Z32 are the correct way around, if you body earth the sensor ground you get a massive loop and idle etc changes with voltage load... ie turning lights on changes idle... The pin next to the 12v source (12v is far right) is ecu ground, the pin next to the signal (signal i...

Re: Question about replacing MAF with MAP?
I have seen this in the maxima world with the emanage ultimate. Dsm world uses the maftpro with other auto brands that seem to have their own favorite hardware to tune with. I think Eric has done a conversion using the z32 ecu.

What is your timing during the decell issue? Try adjusting it to see what happens.
Do you have a lightened flywheel?

Re: Idle problem
Hi Russ. Have you tried to change the warmup timing max? This constant is found just below the injector latency change version 0.12.11. I can't remember which way to adjust it but I changed those values when I ran my engine with that ecu.

Re: Lean AFRs on transition, Accel increase table !?
So the "Fuel Increase Rate" constant is the "acc_coefx100"? ROM/Matt, have you tested the tables to see how the injection time reacts? This is my understanding of ROM's descriptions: F900 tells the ecu to decide if the throttle is being opened. Does it decide by how much? F910; i...

Re: swicthing from blow through to draw through?
I just switched to a blow thru z32 maf and in my case it required a good amount of retuning.
You might want to consider dropping the maf voltage from the lightning maf in order to read more flow or you install it into a larger housing or do both.

Re: What do you think about of tune to 12.0 A/F ratio?
I rely heavily on methanol injection for detonation control/octane and found that I lost a few horsepower at a high 10 afr and didn't gain anything by leaning out the afr's beyond 11.8. I tune for 11.2. Timing is critical and holds the key to power more so than afr's. YMMV

Re: made 632 whp but leaning out
First off setup your fuel and timing maps to reflect the scaling you need for more resolution. You can increase fuel by using a larger k value, increasing the pw in the fuel map or by increasing values in the vq table. Take note when changing the timing maps to ensure you have the same timing in you...
