Hey Matt,
Sorry to drag this up again.. Any word on this or is it in the too time consuming basket?
Cheers

Re: 23710-VC264 2003 Patrol TB48 Petrol

G'day Matt, Just thought i would see if you have any idea of timeframe's yet for the TB48's. Fenugrec of the RomRaider forums a little while ago wrote a kernel to dump and flash these. Others are starting to write GUI's to utilise this along with OpenECU, is it possible for Nistune to be used as jus...

Re: 23710-VC264 2003 Patrol TB48 Petrol

G'day Matt,

Any news on the TB48 front?

Also on a related note but completely noob question... (I bought nistune years ago for my VLT but been ages since i used it)
Can i use Nistune to connect to the obd port on my tb48 patrol and consult it like nissan data scan 2?

Cheers,
Brett

Does fuel pressure remain constant from first starting to later when car runs ok? Dunno bout the Z's but the VL's and VLT's have have valving to stop vacuum to reg after starting so as to increase pressure by 50kpa and the VLT even stores boost and applies this to the reg for even more. Maybe try va...

MAF resistor setting VLT (prob silly question)

Just wondering does anyone adjust this once they have nistune running, or just adjust k constant, latency and maps? If not would it be advantageos to put a resistor on the ecu (380ohm from memory) and disconnect afm resistor so if you need to change an afm the setting wouldn't change. And anyways ho...

ah sweet so now i should be able to use voltage differences to roughly work out flow changes through different venturi designs
Cheers for quick response

VLT MAF Translation Map 100%=6620mV

Sorry if this is a silly question. Background: attempting to use a VLT AFM for a little flow bench for a gas mixer project and anyways thought i would get the MAF translation map off nistune so i could work out rough actual % flow change. So looking at the map it goes up to 6620mV = 100% 5020mV = 38...

ECU come loose?

I was driving to work this morning and was cruising along at about 3000rpm and then the tacho started jumping from 2000 to 4000 and car spluttering. This carried on for about 3 minutes then stopped 1/2km from work, so i gave it some noise and it ran clean. Got in car park and let it idle and every 1...

i did a search on FAST and for a J30 model (im guessing maxima?) vehicle it said for VG30 afm the p/n is 22680-16v00.
Which also goes into rb20's.
I also searched for 22680-1w900 and said p/n not listed.
I only have up to 2001 and alot of it in another language.

After much searching for invoice from Injectors Online i realised i could just go outside and write down the p/n
0 280 155 752
Resistance measured 14 ohm but supercrap meter also had .3 ohm probe to probe.

After a bit of digging VLT injectors are 2.5ohm whereas the bosch injectors are 15ohm which apparently opperate slower which i assume would make run slightly leaner. I was just concerned that the extra resistance would make the ecu use more power and possibly overload those circuits. I'll have to tr...

VLT std injectors vs High impedance latency change

A while back i had to replace std injectors due to leaking into engine bay and it worked out to be not much more to change to a 14mm oring style injector with new conversion fuel rail. I questioned at the time about the bosch injectors being high impedance but was told you can go from low to high bu...

Once i removed it the car runs much better now and no longer covers rear bumper in black soot. Spose i should check the AFM loom incase they "Tuned" that as well.
On a side note the dick smith catalog 06/07 has the wrong colours on the resistor chart.

After looking at a log a bit harder noticed coolant stuck at 38 degrees.
Turns out someone had "tuned" the car via 1kohm resistor in collant temp circuit. ECU therefore never gave fault code when sensor checked directly said it was fine. Lesson learnt always check sensors at ecu end.
