Low gear deceleration issue
ECU P/N 23710-70J00, European P10 SR20DE highport, using 32kb bin files, type 3 board, 370cc injectors + P11/N15 MAF. I can't fix an issue while decelerating on gear, especially on 1st and 2nd (less noticeable but still there on 3rd and 4th). The issue itself could be described as a massive engine j...

Re: SR20DE 70J00 ECU
Please anyone, review my first post. Is it normal that I decrease the K so drastically to get 14.7:1.

Re: SR20DE 70J00 ECU
@bachig24u >>> I finally found some time to try the bin. Engine runs extremely rich and load scalers are way off, I assume due to the pumped K. Instead of running at 14.7:1 at cruise, AFRs are 12s. At idle engine often dies as it sometimes reads even 11:1. Attached is the respective log. Besides tha...

Re: SR20DE 70J00 ECU
That would be a difficult one since the original car was recycled..
Anyway, I got the idea. I think I can find another P10 using that old 4 wire MAF.
Thanks for the advice!

Re: SR20DE 70J00 ECU
Understood. In that case the answer is no, I didn't place any resistor.
Do you know where I can find more information about this mod?
I can find the wiring diagram so to compare with the current harness and figure out the pin that needs to be tricked with a resistor.

Re: SR20DE 70J00 ECU
Did You put resistor on fourth pin? No, I didn't because it is only the ECU that comes from no o2 SR20 P10. The ECU is now in a 93 P10, where stock MAF harness has 3 wires only. What I am trying to say is that I actually have no extra wire to worry about, or extra MAF pin since I am using P11 MAF w...

SR20DE 70J00 ECU
Hi everyone, I recently purchased another ECU with Type 3 board. Since then I've been trying to basic tune it for use in my daily P10. The 70J00 ECU comes from one of the oldest EU P10s, using no o2 sensor and a 4 wire MAF. My current setup includes P11 MAF and 370cc injectors. When I open the stock...

Re: ECU with enabled VE map-fuel issues
The only way to disable the o2 is by turning the flag off. Otherwise it is impossible to disable it on the fuel map (which fuel map is actually 100% flagged).
I will try what you say and will let you know.

Re: ECU with enabled VE map-fuel issues
Just remember that the VE map is used in cruise conditions. The accel increase map appears to be the TPS threshold at which the fuel map starts getting used VE map trims additional fuel on top of the 14.7:1 stoich settings. VE map when adjusted will command these cruise conditions. You can always t...

Re: ECU with enabled VE map-fuel issues
@nissangts: Same here. As raddy already explained, back in the time when I was purchasing the board, I was so not aware of the issues with the VE table. I recently tried the earlier ECU on my car and it runs good. But it is too late now. Hopefully we will have this clarified soon. @raddy: I will loo...

Re: ECU with enabled VE map-fuel issues
Hi Raddy, What you did is what I tried several times, with no success so far. Currently my car runs sort of good and fuel consumption is acceptable. But as you mentioned, no matter what I do I still have the engine hesitating at certain RPM (between 1.800 and 2.800 RPM). Also as explained, under 4.0...

That explains pretty much everything.....
Matt, please look into 23710-83J00 ECU also.

Re: Tired of all the nonsense
OK then, I will burn my 'first' bin to the board and try to log. Engine works really bad with it but I guess I will be able to log idle, cruise and wot. I am thinking of starting all over again, i.e. stock bin -> change injectors -> change MAF -> adjust K and fix idle with latency. As usually, the p...

Re: Tired of all the nonsense
Matt, have you had a chance to look at my bin files?
Let me know if logging under certain conditions will be in any help.

Re: Tired of all the nonsense
The ECU I am using is 23710-83J00. Below are attached the stock bin and my current bin. I will try something later today to see if it was a matter of synchronization. In the current bin K is lowered by 10. This is the only way I can adjust for decent cruise mixtures. There is a flag which applies th...
