Make sure the O2 sensing is turned off. Then try adjusting TTPmin/max. Some of the newer address files had TTPmin/max swapped for some reson so have a look at that.

Even try increasing the values in both just to see if this is the problem.

Aahh - cool. I think they were in reasonable shape as long as you had the final versions.

Sounds like it's time for some adjustments in your fuel table figures??

Let me know your email address and I'll send you some maps for Z32/440's to get you started if you want. I'm no CA guru but it should get you somewhere close..

I was speaking to a local tuner who's done the R33/Z32 thing and he said the same thing - doesn't seem to matter. All good!

Cool. If pump runs for that long then the NIStune board is good and install is good.

Consult should then connect, so sounds like either wiring or maybe driver issue with consult cable.

Have you ever been able to connect at all??

So you can now connect to consult OK?? This is a major indicator as it means the ECU is happily running with the NIStune board and maps. Listen for fuel pump too - a quick pulse (under 1 second) means trouble. If it runs for 3 to 5 seconds after IGN turned on then it's all good. See the diagnostics ...

Just one thing - I've never run an R33 RB with the Z32 ECU but I have people ask me about the wiring mods all the time. I understand the need to: 1)Swap the injector wires around 2)Snip ABS wire (TPS WOT switch on Z32 ECU) 3)Join pins 29+55 as RB25 runs one O2 sensor and Z32 ECU runs 2 4)Move wire f...

You may be able to get around this an easier way. Many of the Z32 guys use a "twin MAF" setup. I can't see why you couldn't run twin Z32 AFM's and only connect to one of them. Provided the plumbing isn't screwed up they should each measure the same. Taking this one step further, you wouldn...

Hey Ryan, Yeah, I did similar things - 128 in all the low load cells. Sounds like you may need to play with the values in your fuel map a bit in the transitional boost area. This is a common thing with turbos. Make sure your load scale is adjusted so it actually gets over to the right part of the ma...

When we know for sure how the VE maps work then we'll add some words to the documents. It's hard to write down what you don't know! :( I tuned that GA16DE+T last night. I still don't know how the VE maps work though. Finished up leaving the VE maps and tuned using the fuel maps. Worked OK. Got good ...

Theoretically a raw value of 130 would be the same as a raw value of 2 but with O2 sensing enabled.

If the O2 sensing flag is turned off then it shouldn't matter whether we're adding the 128 to our values or not.

All will be revealed on the dyno tonight. I hope...

Hmmm. Now I'M getting confused! Normally the difference (raw) between open and closed loop operation is 192. Which is simply done by setting the two highest bits of the 8 bit binary word high - so 1100 0000 would be closed loop (which would show up in Filtered view as 0). And 0000 0000 would be open...

I'd keep your AFM pre-turbo. I'm not a fan of blo-thru AFM's as it's too easy to have them get contaminated with oil from turbo/breather. Either way will work though. Looks like you should be using the B14 VQ map, not B13. Use "Filtered values" in the fuel map and adjust them for around 0 ...
