I've heard of people using the trims to check K value but I've never used it myself. Could be worth looking into!
I tend to just set the low load values in the fuel table to "0", turn O2 sensing off and adjust K until AFR's are around stoichiometric.

I simply filled both the main and knock boost control tables with the same value all over - to give a flat boost curve. You just need to make sure that you change whole rows at a time. So if you want more boost at 3500, then you need to increase ALL the values on the 3500 row. I can take a screengra...

I've actually noticed very little difference between the ball bearing and plain bearing turbos. I think it's mainly a durability thing - ball bearing turbos handle thrust loads much better. I looked at the logs but I didn't know how to get boost values to come up. Yes, Graeme's NATS is working. Same...

T28 should give 14psi at around 3200 - 3300rpm. 2871's are usually around 3500 - 3700. That'll be one thing we'll be looking at on the dyno - boost response. We're going to try using the factory boost control solenoid and also a Turbotech ball-n-spring valve. The ball-n-spring valves give awesome bo...

Update: Did some more with the S15 boost control solenoid today. All good - we have total control. Mwuhahahaha!! :) In its stock form the factory boost control solenoid will give you between 8psi (solenoid closed so boost level dictated by spring in wastegate actuator) and around 12psi. With values ...

Hey Petros, I don't do much work on RB's but there was an R33 at the dyno place yesterday where I tune. They were running it up while I was there and they said the same about the turbos - they are fragile and they don't seem to respond well to higher boost anyway. They reckon you're best off to just...

Hey Chris, I think you're actually in quite a good place with your S15. Stock turbo + FMIC + zorst + 14 to 16psi is probably the best performance for the $$$ that you're likely to get. You should see around 180 - 190rwkw give-or-take with this setup. And you'll have great boost response. Plus you do...

Guys guys!! (great excitement!) I've just been doing some more testing with this S15 ECU. Here's the go: I monitored the boost control solenoid and was able to adjust it from 0% duty to 100% duty. This means we have full control over boost on these things - (we may need to adjust the jet sizes to ge...

OK. Finally got to do this local S15. I played around with the boost control maps and got it to respond on the bench. You have to use the latest address file (download latest ROM pack from NIStune site) - Matt must have updated the file at some stage and it now looks at different data for the boost ...

Spot on. I'm gonna give this a go next time I do a tune. Some cars (mostly race cars) tend to just get tuned at whatever the max boost level is. I guess this is kinda OK cos they're used mostly at WOT. But I think a lot of tuners out there are just being slack - tuning at max boost and leaving the r...

Hey guys, I just re-tuned this guy's car again. It was running E10 and going really well but the lure of E85 was just too much. The bottom line is that power went from a very credible (for his small turbo) 217rwkw to 230rwkw. Full story here: http://www.plmsdevelopments.com/customers/chris_ceffy.htm...

The load and RPM scales will be the same sort of deal as for fuel and IGN maps. I've not played with these yet - I did exactly the same as you did and I got the same result. Zip. :( I'm gonna have to have another play with this on the bench - last time I messed with it I could see a definite change ...
