Hey guys,
I tried running a NIStune board with 54C00 code in a 69C05 ECU on the bench and I couldn't replicate this fault.
Has anybody tried running 54C00 code in an EPROM board on a 69C05 ECU?

Hey Mike, Yeah, they seem to deliver very average results indeed. Think I'll stick to my SR's! Don't worry, I'm promoting E85 wherever I can! If it was more readily available I'd certainly be using it in my little Mazda 121 work hack (currently running E10). I'll be doing another E85 SR20DET job in ...

You'll have to check the manual about the CA18. They may be different to SR20 (I deal primarily with SR20 stuff). They appear to use a reed switch + magnet arrangement in the speed sensor. SR's use a magnet/coil system. Looks like CA's still send the speed sensor signal to the speedo head though so ...

Hi Eric, Interesting about the 54C00 vs 69C05. This may be it. Have you tried running the 54C00 in an EPROM board? I recently got hold of a 69C05 ECU (at considerable expense!) so I'll give it a go on the weekend. I've seen this in some of the other SR20 ECU's. I tried to run a U13 image in a local ...

Most of the speed sensor inputs are the same. The sensor signal doesn't go direct to ECU. It normally goes through the speedo head or some other circuitry before going to the ECU. Dunno why I'm typing this - I've done it before. Lookee here: http://www.plmsdevelopments.com/ssi.htm I make a little mo...

Hi, I've not done a VQ but I'm thinking that you'd probably get away with just not using the auto and the ECU would work OK without it. Other Nissan ECU's seem to cope OK. The signals are going from the ECU to the auto trans ECU rather than the other way around. About the only inputs you might need ...

Hi Eric, Can't say I've heard of that one before. We've done quite a few boards for GTiR and never had any complaints bar the one Matt mentioned - and that was to do with driving the factory boost cut solenoid. I tuned a mate's racing buggy with the same board and he's now been racing it (very) succ...

Normally you adjust the Injection Multiplier to get things roughly correct, then click on the individual cells in the fuel map and use the up/down keys to adjust.

I fear it could be a tad more complex than this. Sure, we've got that DC level that the ECU likes to see so it doesn't raise a DTC. But really what's going to be happening is the ECU will be counting knock events so it can work out whether it needs to jump to the knock maps or not. Plus as Matt ment...
