Re: S14 SR20DET holding on to closed loop??!?!?!
Thanks Matt. I'll try and run full time open loop for now and I'll offer the owner the option of a nistune board to get it sorted 100%. EDIT..... I switch the o2 flags on in all the cells and deselected the o2 feedback flag as mentioned earlier in this thread. I can confirm this works for staying in...

Re: S14 SR20DET holding on to closed loop??!?!?!
Hi Matt, Yeah sorry I did mean to write 82fxx instead of 83fxx. That's good news about the jdm/edm compatability, unfortunately what I forgot to mention was that this particular car is running an odd/even daughter board. After reading the link you posted I see that the feature pack won't work in thi...

Re: S14 SR20DET holding on to closed loop??!?!?!
I'm having this exact issue with an EDM 83f03 ecu at the minute. I have read through this thread and the other thread also regarding this issue and downloaded the FP1 pack in an attempt to resolve the issue. I am not sure if there is something I am doing wrong or if the additional rom doesn't suit m...

Re: sr20det with z32. Randomly dies when returning to idle.
Yeah the engine fuel cuts on deceleration as normal and then goes very rich as it drops to and just below idle target. Usually this alone isn't enough to stall the engine ad the rpm picks up again to idle. It is at this point the TP jumps to the higher load areas. Should be simple enough to reduce t...

Re: sr20det with z32. Randomly dies when returning to idle.
Thanks Matt.
I had maxed out my TTPmax temporarily for tuning purposes. I had assumed this table was only referenced during acceleration.
That's great I'll give that a try.

sr20det with z32. Randomly dies when returning to idle.
I am tuning an sr20det (82f03) in a UK s14a. The car was already fitted with z32 and yellow 555cc injectors. I have done the usual changes for injectors and MAF and adjusted K constant. I have also adjusted the latency (have this same problem with latency values of 580, 610 or 710). The issue I have...

Re: Type3 74Fxx ecu running s14a (originally 82Fxx ecu)
All sorted. :D Turns out the rx and tx wires between ecu and consult port weren't making a connection at all so I ran new wires and it connected straight away. Also had fun setting the blitz I color sbc as a wire had broken on that too causing the display to loose connection with the boost controlle...

Re: Type3 74Fxx ecu running s14a (originally 82Fxx ecu)
Seems someone has been in a hurry to fit electrical items to this car lol. I am having no joy connecting consult even before the board was fitted to the ecu. And one of the main relays seems to flicker on and off quite badly a few seconds after start up which makes the engine stutter and occasionall...

Re: Type3 74Fxx ecu running s14a (originally 82Fxx ecu)
That's great Matt, thanks. Yeah I suspect someone has changed the plugs in order to fit a series 1 mines ecu originally and maybe at a later stage someone else has noticed the ecu and swapped the mines for their standard ecu. I can't see any other reason why the loom would be cut. Anyway, thanks aga...

Re: Type3 74Fxx ecu running s14a (originally 82Fxx ecu)
Ok so on further investigation I have found out that someone previous has cut the original ecu connector off and wired in the connector for the 74F ecu. I now have a car with a 74F ecu (apparently Mines) and a spare 82F ecu that can't be used as there is no connector. I will speak to the owner and s...

Re: Type3 74Fxx ecu running s14a (originally 82Fxx ecu)
I have no intention of changing the loom etc. The car is currently running the 74Fxx ecu with no apparent problems. I am happy to fit the type 3 board to this ecu and tune with that so long as I don't uncover any possible issues. I will be connecting the consult for faults and logging before I fit t...

Type3 74Fxx ecu running s14a (originally 82Fxx ecu)
Hi folks, I hate barging into the forum with a query straight away as I have just joined but I figure the info is better here than hiding in my email inbox  Anyway I have just taken delivery of a type 3 board for a customer who has an s14a silvia. Before ordering I checked the ECU part number ...
