Z31 ECU Power staying on?
The other day, my Nistune'd 88T ECU stayed powered after I had turned off the ignition. I could tell because the consult connection was still active and the LED's still flashing on the ECU. Is there a known reason for this behavior? I've never known the ECU to stay on after turning off the ignition ...

Matt, This is probably unrelated but my 84's batt voltage reported by both of my old REVA/B boards with 88 Z31 ECCS's appears at 12.3vdc with the car off despite the battery reading 12.6vdc There is no voltage dropped between the battery and main power lead in the bay. Would it be at all normal to b...

Matt, Sorry for the slow reply, I sent this in an e-mail as well. I checked the USB board today, it does have the capacitors on it. I have yet to try updating the patch code. I will do that ASAP when I get home and have access to the car. I still have yet to try another usb cable, this one is cheap ...

Jason, What version of NisTune are you using? Are you running your LM-1? I had similar problems with the last version .9081a. Haven't had time to check this current version .9084a that was posted on the 30th. Matt said that it is supposed to support the LM-1 again. Using version .9084a The LM-1 is ...

Re: Something specific to Z31 applications....
The PROM chip on 88-89 NA and turbo ECU’s can be swapped. That is, if you want an 88-89 ECU and would like to use a Zirconium type oxygen sensor you can put the turbo PROM in the NA ECU. This should save a lot of time in swapping out the sensor bung, sensor, and re-wiring. -Does this mean that I ...

USB Consult Disconnect and other errors
After having an apparently non-fuctioning board in my ECU for the longest time and trying everything, I finally used another USB cable and it seemed to work fine (grrrrrrrr). Well, at least it worked fine for a little while. I was getting random disconnects of the consult, leading to me having to di...
