Remember you will need a usb -> serial adapter that is valid for nistune. One with ftdi chipset. In the wideband section (other subforum), i have provided an amazon link to one that works ok.
Does this only happen with aem widebands, or is the same for others?

Working and non working USB to Serial adapters
As I have dicovered recently, not all serial adapters work ok with nistune and our wideband units. So I think it would be a nice idea to report which adapters work ok and which don't. Please, report what adapters you have tried (working adaptors are worthier than non working, as this can be nice for...

Re: Frame errors now and then
As i discovered later, the serial on the craddle of my laptop is just an usb adapter integrated in the craddle, so it might be due to this.
Anyway, if you could pinpoint a specific model that will surely work, it could be nice, so we can buy straight on.
Thanks, Matt. It continue reporting

Re: Frame errors now and then
Seems like a problem with my other adator, as I have bought a new one, based in the FTDI chipset, and operation seems much smoother. I still get some issues, that I hope will not happen when tunning.
So far so good.

Frame errors now and then
Hi there. I have just tried my AEM AFR serial port, and although I get some results, nistune doesn't seem to like much what the port outputs. If I try to watch the port with a serial terminal program (realterm, the first free software I could find: http://sourceforge.net/projects/realterm/) I get a ...

Re: Where did the Afr go?
What I mean is that I select no option in the combo, and leave it in its default value, that for a just installed version of nistune, in Begginer mode, is a blank.
You can see an screenshot of what I mean in the attached file.

Re: Where did the Afr go?
I'm having an issue with AFR view in fuel maps. As I can see, if I select no option in the filtering combo, I can see AFR calculated values... but as soon as I select something in the combobox below, AFR values dissapear, and never come back. I know those AFR values might not be the same I will get ...
