Re: Missing values / sources
Yeah it would have affected all Type 1 boards (and previously stream mode in the few versions before hand). I should have that all solid now so an upgrade recommendation is made on starting to use 1.3.25 Oh, maybe that's why downgrading and a fresh installation didn't help in my case. I had acciden...

Re: Missing values / sources
Strange. It worked once with .21 but on a fresh install (new OS, fresh nistune installation) it didn't with the same .21 version.
But you made it work again with version .25, thank you for this awesome quick fix!

Re: Missing values / sources
Thanks, one more information: When I downgraded to .21 without improvement. The TP load index is gone. Even applying a recovery of the Windows partition (with nistune installed) didn't help. I must say, that the user folder of nistune was not touched by this, since it's on a different partition. Aft...

Missing values / sources
Hello. I updated from 1.3.21 to 1.3.24 and have the problem, that some live values are not available anymore. After recording a log, I noticed that TP load Index wasn't logged. Some other values are also missing. I attached some screenshots. They are missing in the gauges selection as well. Can some...

Re: Finally understanding knock / detonation detection on ca18det
That's very kind of you. I'm afraid, since the S13 is my daily I cannot remove the board for so long. Maybe there is another solution? Local dealers that can flash the board? Will they be supported with the new firmware? But if the S13 doesn't detect knock above 4000 rpm, I might want to look for a ...

Re: Finally understanding knock / detonation detection on ca18det
Thank you, Matt, for your extraordinary support here and all the detailed explanations. I'll work through this input soon. One question: The firmware, you are working on - will this be flashed by the (future) nistune version during a normal "upload" to the ECU or would the board have to be...

Re: Finally understanding knock / detonation detection on ca18det
Wow, that's a lot to understand, mostly because of all the different terms... So, is the "firmware" of the board, what is sometimes referred to as "base image"? If there is a knock fault code (disconnected for example) then knock fault is raised, and timing is retarded normally 5...

Re: Finally understanding knock / detonation detection on ca18det
Thanks for your explanations! These flex maps only apply when using the flex fuel feature, right? So if I am not using flex fuel, for me the stock knock handling should be performed, correct? But what if that doesn't happen? Can the board be broken but reports being ok? So no DTC would be set. What ...

Finally understanding knock / detonation detection on ca18det
Hello there. After reading several posts about detonation detection on a CA18DET and because I have to somehow monitor knock on my current setup, I have a few questions: 1) Is there still something like a "knock map" in the nistune software of the Type 1 board? I've read about it, but have...

Re: o2 Operation/theory
From what I experienced the map and all other values and multipliers are used to calculate a "base" pulsewidth of the injectors. Fuel is injected using this time. If the o2 sensor is reporting a rich or lean exhaust value, the ECU has a certain range to correct this, if the load index curr...

Re: CAS Fault message, but engine running normal
Kinda rediculous, replying so late  , but I don't want to leave this uncommented... so thank you for replying so quickly. I haven't checked the forum since then and I've had the error once again, but that was it. So I will investigate, if it occurrs again. I understand that this is a ECU to...

CAS Fault message, but engine running normal
Hello! I lately got a CAS Fault warning in the DTC window telling me to clear DTCs and check the shielded wiring of the CAS. But I cannot notice any negative change on the running engine. Everything is as usual. I unplugged the CAS and plugged it back in, checked the cable visually - nothing special...

Re: Running off knock tables always
Excuse me, could you please explain, how to access / see the knock tables? I've been using nistune for 2 years now and have never seen those. I thought, it's an old feature that is obsolete. Further I thought, the ECU simply reduces ignition timing by 4 deg. per rotation in case of knock, what makes...

Custom gauge based on other data/sensors + formula
Hi. Maybe you know the software "Torque" for Android, that can be used to connect to the OBD II system of modern cars (> 2004, I think). It can then display live data in a so called dashboard, where I can place gauges of any datasource OBD II provides (e.g. speed, rpm, MAF, MAP, coolant te...
