Re: USB Consult not available with this license -error

I am using a z31 87t ecu. I am using the Z31_VG30_128_E_86-89.adr address file same as always. When this address file is selected, it says VG30ET Third Model 87-89 (16k rev3+board) in the blue bar across the top of Nistune program, so i figure this is the correct address file for me? i'm confused. T...

USB Consult not available with this license -error

I am getting the error stated in the subject. Just downloaded and installed rom pack 2.2 and version 0.9.14.13

Does the same on my laptop and desktop.

When I go to help>about Nistune it says the license is: Extended Consult Version.

Thanks,
Brian

i've been away for a while, been real busy and haven't worked on the car in a while. Recorded the displayed temp vs. ambient fuel temp today. The ambient temperature i recorded was 3 C, coolant temp as reported by nistune was 2 C, and fuel temp reading right at cold start was -76 C. Not sure if this...

table definitions

Was wondering if we could get a thread going or a sticky containing the purpose/function/definition/whatever of each of the tables for the type 1 ecu's. I am still a bit unclear as to what all the tables do. Anyone game?

Thanks,
Brian

the rest of the guages should show up when you actually get connected to the ecu.

Matt, I suppose that we are talking in degrees C (the values i gave in my last post are what nistune was displaying). I would be glad to help if i knew how to figure out this required display offset. Should i record the ambient temp and then record the fuel temp that nistune displays? Thanks, Brian

I am running the 87t ecu also. At this time i am not getting a readout for the o2 sensor either. At one point i was as can be seen in one of my previous posts. I am not sure what version i was running when i was getting a reading. I recently installed version 9273 and noticed it wasnt working. Then ...

fuel temp readings are now in the negative, on my car anyway. They were similar to the above in version 9271. Cold start has the temps at about -60 if i remember correctly. at operating temp they settled to about -30. This is just a display problem correct? Will it actually affect how the ecu/car op...

As for your 87t ECU... what went wrong? The only thing that was out of order was, as i mentioned earlier in the thread, the #2 (grey) wire going into the cpu was not connected very well - if at all -seems it may have come loose at some point. The weekend before we had a cold snap, got down to 30 de...

dropping resistors

I know this topic has been covered before, but... I have the 420cc benz injectors, which are low impedance, with an 88t ecu (my car is an 87t) which i believe, if i have the terminology correct is a saturated ecu, The PO had been using resistors with the injectors. He had a fairly decent tune going....

Matt, The original ecu that I had the nistune board in is a 87t, fyi. There is no chip in the 88t ecu. The pocket romulator that the PO was using was hooked directly up to the ecu. So i pulled the romulator off the 88t ecu and hooked it up to the 87t ecu. No dice. Car would not start, no priming of ...

Matt, The last time i was working with the car, I did burn changes to the ecu. But if i remember correctly (which i may not) i did turn the car off and was able to restart it with the newly burnt changes. I took the cover off and checked that the board was secure - it is. I gave each of the soldered...

Ok so i went to take the z out for a tuning session tonight and the car would not start. consult would not connect either. it kept giving me the "no data received - check connection error". one time it gave me a "possible corrupted ecu image" error or something like that cant qui...
