Re: WTB: "TMS15-NA" TechTom daugherboard (S15 N/A)
No problem, i found some info, related to some toyota stuff mostly but wasn't sure if it applied to nissan stuff as well. All good.

Re: WTB: "TMS15-NA" TechTom daugherboard (S15 N/A)
Thanks Matt, i was referring to the often scrambelled ROM images of the chips on the techtom boards as opposed to the CPLD program. Yeh i imagine the epoxy is because it was a 'race' ECU and they did that to ensure things didn't vibrate and break or something. i'll keep looking for it, but i wont be...

Re: WTB: "TMS15-NA" TechTom daugherboard (S15 N/A)
One last question, have you ever seen a board that looks like this (attached) for similar model ECUs. I missed out on buying this ECU by about 10 minutes and its bugged me ever since as i've never, ever seen another board like it installed in any of the ECUs i've researched. Its an JN15 SR16VE N1 EC...

Re: WTB: "TMS15-NA" TechTom daugherboard (S15 N/A)
Im sure you have the scrambler and descrambler info for the TechTom stuff? Given they use two very large CPLD instead of just the one small one that does increase the complexity for you.

Re: WTB: "TMS15-NA" TechTom daugherboard (S15 N/A)
Interesting to know it’s the same issue you face with other hardware. Thanks for that explanation Matt. I have gone ahead and installed the fresh KBM50AA board I have today and the CVT seems to be behaving on the first drive so I’ll monitor it over the next week and make sure ‘all is well’ and move ...

Re: WTB: "TMS15-NA" TechTom daugherboard (S15 N/A)
It does fit but there is a persistent knock sensor code 34 which is a known 'feature' of using that board. I actually have 2 of them sitting here but have held off fitting one at this point because the last time i plugged an ECU in with a board fitted the CVT did weird things and went into a 'limp' ...

Re: WTB: "TMS15-NA" TechTom daugherboard (S15 N/A)
My application is for the SR20VE in this case. I’ve asked a few of the NZ guys and they only have the KBM50AA boards as that is what they mainly use. Thanks Matt.

WTB: "TMS15-NA" TechTom daugherboard (S15 N/A)
hi all, hope this is OK to post (I still have my Nistune, but this is for an application Nistune doesn't supprt). I'm looking for a fairly uncommon EPROM based board which was used for the S15 N/A ECU made by TechTom as far as i understand. The board i'm after is pictured in the attachment. I don't ...

Re: Feature Pack updates + Information thread
Yeh that's going to make things easier for people! So i need to send the board back to you for programming i understand that bit, do i need to pre-organise that or send it in with contact details and a note ?

Re: Feature Pack updates + Information thread
Good stuff! Given the N14 SR20DE ECU is very similar to the B13 SR20DE (all same memory addresses for parameters), I've been able to add FP to this one (including VCT output) Ethanol output etc will be displayable in next Nistune version So does this mean 68C00 now has an output that can be used to...

Re: Timing on SR20VE with SR16VE.N1 Head
Depending which version of the pulley you have, its possible your markings are wrong/out. http://www.sr20-forum.com/vvl/9934-gspec-crank-pulley-comparison.html#post131346 Link above shows the issue, its a few degrees out for the early version. Timing can be done without any rain dance stuff, you jus...

Re: bypassing nats..
I didn't write the post out very clearly, just one the one fuse #34 was blown causing the whole non-starting condition but this was only discovered after the Nistune was moved from one ECU to the other (ruling out the ECU being the issue). I definitely wasn't looking forward to desoldering the ribbo...

Re: bypassing nats..
*sigh* Update. Fuses were checked initially by a simple continuity test, but without removal of the fuse. Knowing that i should have removed and visually inspected, but didn't, makes me even more embarrassed. Turns out Fuse #34 in the engine bay was blown which was for IGN/NATS explaining why the NA...

Re: bypassing nats..
Update: Towed the car out of the carpark, ran it down the long hill (~50-60m), twice, no-go on the clutch start multiple times. Nistune installed fine, consult connected in nistune program and loaded up on my test bench first go. Thinking maybe something else is blown. Going to have to recheck fuses...
