Need someones tune.

Post by GavinJohnson »

While tuning my car it's not behaving at all. Does anyone have a tune for an rb20, 555cc injectors, z32 maf, forward facing intake, 3" turbo back exhaust, t3t04e turbo or similar they could send me to try and see of it's my tuning or something wrong with the car please? If
not I'll post up what problems I'm having but just want to rule this out first.

What type of problems are you having? the stock maps will allow you to start and run the car if you change the injectors and MAF and then adjust the latency and multiplier

Heres my post from the post before your's about an Rb25, same shit...
from there its as easy as using the resize injector function first then the change maf function next...that will roughly account for the tp scale adjustment (which is pretty close from my experience, which is less than a month)

from there you need a wideband and setup the injector multiplier and latency based on your injectors....set it to auto and adjust the sliders. Playing with latency first. As one changes, the other needs to change as well to accomodate. This should get it idling around 14.7. Dont forget to disable O2 feedback by reading the manual.

from there its either street time (like me) or dyno time (which comes soon)

i cannot stress the importance of reading the documentation like 10 times at least while looking at the software

Ok so found out it was a boost leak. Now everythings back together and my timing is at 60 doesn't move at all whether on decel, load, no load, idle anything. As soon as I start it it's at 60. No trouble codes and I tried replacing knock sensors just incase. Any ideas??

have you adjusted the base timing via the CAS ? not sure if it will need consult software too or not though...

Yes I have. Doesn't Change. Unplugged my knock sensors and it went to 35 and came up with knock sensor code. Since I've swapped the sensors I'm guessing the wiring to them is bad

Replaced the wiring to the knock sensors so I'll try that tonight.

What part number 23710-xxxxx is on your board?

Is this the first time timing has been stuck on 60? Does it also report this in 'stream mode'?

Where do I find that matt? Yes it is. It's been in the cAr for about 2
months now while being tuned. Just started doing it. No just consult mode. When I look in the maps it's moving around like it should..

At the top of the screen in Nistune when you connect will show an ECU ID. You will see it when you connect to the ECU

thats a very used ROM image so not that

do you have 'timing' selected in the consult gauge list when first connecting?

otherwise will need a debug log

File - Configuration - Debug logging

restart Nistune

Logs get put in C:\Program Files\Nistune\logs

Do a short test in 'stream mode' and email that through

Test with both idle and then mid throttle. I need to see if it changes at all. Strange its not going with that particular ROM image
