Nissan PS13 already mapped with NIStune

Hey, new here!! Nissan tuning is all quite new to me, I mainly do Mitsubishi Evo's. I have a guy here who already has had is PS13 (with S15 SR20DET engine & ECU to match) mapped, but said mappers skills are somewhat questionable among the Nissan tuning community, and the car just isn't running right. Car was only mapped on WOT only! Cruise, etc was just left alone (doesn't sound promising to me).

Seeing as the map is quesionable, the owner has asked me to re-map his car for him, now because it already has the NIStune board installed, what do I need to get it re-mapped?

Can I get away with simply the cable & trial version of NIStune software? Will the trial version allow me to alter fuel & ignition maps, and also log RPM, load, IDC, AFR's (with external LM-1), etc?

Even if it just lets me alter fuel & ignition tables, that would be fine. Don't want to sound like a cheapskate, etc. Just that I don't fancy paying $200 to map someone elses car for them, and the owner has said he will pay for the cable, but doesn't want to have to fork out $200 for a single licence seeing as he has already paid for it to be mapped with NIStune.

Basically, will the trial version of the NIStune software allow me to map the fueling & ignition. If it won't let me log, that's ok, but main thing is if it will let me alter the maps.

Tell the owner to get off his ass and buy the program since it's his problem. If he wants his car to run right then he might as well go all the way like on Prom night.

Not any more! The trial versions got updated so they do not allow changes because it was getting abused

This question should have been an email to myself, not an open post on this forum

He should have taken it up with the person that mapped it for him. You get what you pay for some times and sounds like this guy doesnt want to pay much

What you can do is email me directly and see what I can do to get it sorted for him, but sorry I have to stick to the rules about forum registrations otherwise it could go nuts!
