My note book does not have DB25 printer port, so I brought a USB to DB25 cable,
compatiable with USB 2.0 and 1.1, using 2305 chipset (seller describtion),
when plug in the cable, I can see USB printing support (IEEE1284 controller),
but after connect to Nistune Base Image Programmer Board,
I see a warning message when I start up the Nistune Programmer software,
showing "DLPORTIO.SYS device driver not loaded. Port I/O will have no effect."
Could someone teach me how to fix it ?
Thank you very much !

In short it wont work. Those USB devices use different drivers and communicate as a printer, not as a raw device read/writing IO
I thought I could do this some time ago
The good news is that we have USB Base Image Programmers coming soon! Parts are on their way
The prototype does Type 3/4 boards no problems. Does program up Type 1/2 also except the last byte is getting corrupted so I am looking into that when I get time (currently in the process of moving house but I've kept the programmer boards, scope etc out of boxes so I will have a look at that when I get a chance)
