stuck in knock map ca18det
Just like title says as soon as i start my ca s13 it picks up 1 knock on the knock scale and never comes out of the knock map. I've been running my tune for like 6 months and this never happened untill like 2 weeks ago it started doing this and i reflashed my map into it again and it was fine. Now its back and its picks up rediculous knock counts like 200-325 just cruising out of boost and i've yet to hear any knock . mods are 2.5 inch exhuast stock injectors stock maf 10lbs of boost gt28r turbo cone filter front mount. Any chance the knock sensor just went bad, the only other thing i can think of is i never shielded the knock senor wire back to the computer. thanks for any help.

How do you know that its stuck on the knock maps? Is the timing following the knock maps instead of the main maps?
The Nistune knock indication is indicative that knock pulses are received and we could them on the tracer. It doesnt necessarily mean its using the knock maps

I think its actually working the way it should. I think i may have just got bad gas or something. i no longer pick up high knock count. So just for clarity i was searching around and found a post stating the ca18 uses both timing map together is this true. thanks

Yes for the timing maps it uses a combination of both maps and averages them. CA18DET seems to be different to all other ECUs in this regard. Strange...

Well unfortunatly my problem has returned but now here is whats happening. My car will use the timing map as i set it going into boost but sometimes it will shoot up to 40 and stay there can this occur from maxing out the mass air also i'm running off the load scale. But it will still get jacked up to 40 degrees when its still on it. I noticed this seems to happen when my speedo acts up. I've been having problems with it cutting out lately and coming back on does the ecu need that signal to determine its not at idle besides the tps. I'm very stumped

you don't get any DTC errors ?
something is playing up... you have a stockish setup, apart from turbo, but even with that boost...
anyway... you said you're running off the scale... that ain't good... you need to adjust the scales accordingly...
can you post a log showing those problems while driving a such... ?

did'nt do a full gear pull or anything like that just some on and off throttle runs. And i'm fairly sure its got something to do with my speed o not working. It starts to go off the load scale if i have the boost set at 10 or 10.5 lbs with stock boost it will stay on the scale. The bin file is really rough and not what i've been using but i accidently saved over my old tune
the two logs are listed as the speedo working and not thanks for any help.

I have just downloaded the files...
how's the driveability of the car ?
the fuel map seems to be way too rich... is even richer than the JAP bin file (wich is the base file you're using if I'm not mistaken)...
you need to re-scale the fuel and ignition load scales...
you do have a wideband to tune right ? if you don't... well... carefull with what you do and buy one ...
