OMG...every problem imaginable
So ive been building this 240 for a while now...like ten years... je pistons, pauter rods, 550 injectors (babies), t304e 60 trim, and everything from the head gasket up is tomei and it ran last summer on a completely diff engine management system. I just installed Nistune and now the problems start. i had to wire everything back to stock for nistune and i had to install a maf cuz i was running a map before. I installed a 01 ford lightning maf and ran the signal wire to the green and black not the green and yellow is that correct? now my first question is, what should the diognostic lights (red and green bulbs) on the ecu look like when everything is working properly? first with just key on and then while running? my lights seem to be all over the place, staying lit sumtimes, flickering sumtimes, flashing sumtimes... i just wanna know what they are suppose to look like. second question, who's running nistune? and where are you located cuz im goin nutz!!! after i load the image from the ecu to computer and i pull up consult gauges there is a lot of flickering and jumping around going on between rpm, injector duty, temp sensor and some others but the jumping around doesnt stay consistant with some gauges. Plus the fuel pump runs constant but only whenever it wants to... sometimes it will be fine. another thing that i noticed is that even when the car is running and then it dies the injector duty cycle is still goin crazy.... idk... also how many engine/chassis/wiring grounds should there be? i thought i had enuf and even added more. i tested almost all of my engine wiring and it seems to be ok but im leaning on the side of harness shortage. or also leaning on side of improperly installed socket into the ecu... thoughts or comments?!?!?!
Re: OMG...every problem imaginable
at first look, it looks like the board is not properly fitted...
Re: OMG...every problem imaginable
Hmmm if you are connecting and can read consult, sync etc then sounds like its working
However if the ECU is going schitz whilst using Nistune with the board then there is some type of firmware etc issue. Please email me on this one enquiries [at] nistune.com with your board part number, ECU part number and Rev# of firmware showing inside Nistune
Something strange going on there
