Is a injector rewire required for rb25 using rb20 ecu
I have been told you must swap the wiring for injectors 4 and 6 for an rb20 ecu to work with an rb25 is this correct?
Re: Is a injector rewire required for rb25 using rb20 ecu
Is there any firmware that removes this need to swap wires? I have been running for 6 months now without the wires swapped could be the reason for the slow build up of boost and the occasional missing hopefully I haunt screwed anything up too bad.
What the easiest way to swap the wires? Cut and solder or re pin loom?
Cheers for the help

Re: Is a injector rewire required for rb25 using rb20 ecu
Firmware update was for simulating TPS idle switch (by reading TPS variable input and using a soft trigger point to simulate the TPS switch)
Well previously there were reports that wires need swapping to match RB25 configuration from the ECU. PL had reports of issues with those cylinders without being swapped so we recommend correct injection order (it will still run without swapping but the fuel wont be injected at the expected time)
However I just grabbed a HCR32 then and checked it.
DRIVER 1:
101 (Injector 1)
103 (Injector 3)
110 (Injector 5)
DRIVER 2:
105 (Injector 2)
112 (Injector 4)
114 (Injector 6)
Those all connect to each other at the ECU. As 4/6 are driven from the same lines there is no need to swap these over. Reports to PL must have been due to another issue then. Will confirm previous findings on this thread

I have the same problem.crans wrote:Is there any firmware that removes this need to swap wires? I have been running for 6 months now without the wires swapped could be the reason for the slow build up of boost and the occasional missing hopefully I haunt screwed anything up too bad.
Matt I don't understand what you're saying. do I need to swap or what?
Re: Is a injector rewire required for rb25 using rb20 ecu
you dont need to swap the wires. it makes no difference with an RB20 ecu
