Hey guys,
Just got activated after a few months of debating on getting the Nistune setup. I picked it up used, but I hope I can still get some help on using it.
It's for my '93 240sx KA24DE.
I've been tuning via a daughterboard and chips for the past few years, and what a pain in the rump... I hope this Nistune can help speed things up, and assist in me wanting to tune for E85.
Just wanted to introduce myself, and let you know my plans. I'm sure once I get it installed and working, it should go pretty smoothly.

Hi Eric,
After doing chip tuning you'll love NIStune. No going back.
And E85 is awesome. You putting turbo on the KA? Cos a DE+T on E85 is as good as it gets!

Down with chip burning. Real time for the win.
Re: Fist time Nistune user
Yeah, chip burning is a right pain. NIStune puts everything into a nice neat package. No programmers, no emulators, no EPROMs or EEPROMs, just the daughterboard and software.
My only concern is that if you have bought a NIStune board from a car with a different ECU than yours it won't work until you get someone to put the correct base image on for your ECU. Very simple to do and takes 2 mins, but you need to find someone with the NIStune programmer in order to change the base image. As I said, that's only if your ECU is different from the one it came out of.

yeah thats the only problem, but usually its a once off requirement.
other boards like calums which were on board emulation can deal with this but requires a crap load more parts on the board
