Help, just want to make sure I'm right

Post by Hawaiisr20det »

Run down of what I have first.
Laptop is what i will tune with.
1990 Nissan 240sx usdm model
Transplanted sr20det black top (s13) from japan
Nistune type 3 board and a consult port(still need to wire up the consult port)
Aem wideband (not the new in-line version)

By the way I'm not computer smart like I went college for it but I know some things but the simpler the better!

Ok so I recently got my nistune (type3 board), and I wanted to make my aem wideband work with nistune. Is this what i need only or is there other things I need? http://parts.digikey.com/1/parts/154074 ... io8-g.html (ex. Software, other plugs or wires or boards)

Also, I wanted to make sure I can read knock what do I need for that, and is there anything else i will need to be able to read to tune correctly. This is my first time tuning so I wanna do it right.

Thanks for your time.

DLP converter will work fine. Just need to wire signal and GND into pin1 and pin GND on that connector

Knock sensing headphones - do a search on here for that since there was some discussion about those. If you use a dyno then they should have some there for you to use anyway

see here first:

btw with the autotuner stuff you still have to plug in your expected AFRs and then run against those. I would suggest doing it manually first (montioring AFRs that you have and doing some tracing) before even trying the auto stuff out
