300ZX ECT Question

Post by mattminer »

What kind of temps do you guys see with your zeds that you tune? Im in the process of trying to cool down a particularly hot one and am wondering whats normal for a stock-ish one.

Thanks!

99°C is the max. temp I logged for few months up to now.
This is the engine overall temp. taken from the ECU register itself (149-50=99)
Oil temp can be higher (up to 110-115°C on strong acceleration but less accurate than engine temp)
I got max. TP value @ 79°C.

Usually running temp is 85-90°C in my case in October, with some moderate accelerations.

I forgot to tell I'm running E85.
At the moment, ambient temp is 10-14°C, engine temp is 80-81°C on short trips but with some strong accelerations.

E85 ...
I don't have cold start troubles. we see -15°C here in a plain winter.
Cold start enrichement table is 1.5x the stock values.
Startup table is 2x or something close to that.
More cold timing advance but the key is really right enrichement.
