Ignition issue - from where to start

Guys need some opinion regarding ignition, so mostly am doing road tuning and i wander from what ignition to start tuning air fuel and what is the maximum recommended ignition i can use ?and what you suggest tune first AFR and then ignition or do them simulative gather ?

if your application is not too different from standard, let begin with standard timing map (rescaled if needed), as it is usualy very safe, or even decrease timing a bit if you aware.Tune AFR first, to stable safe value (application depending, but stable 11:1 will be safe for begin). Then adjust timing map, but this require some kind of feedback, at least for knock, ideally also for torque-here you should have some experience really, at ideal timing depends on fuel octane, inlet temp, boost etc... At this forum you will found lot of usefull imputs already, or even better is to start with nistune mapping guide in support section...
