Fuel Load Scale change affect on pulsewidth?

If it isnt a problem or a suggestion it probably goes here.

Fuel Load Scale change affect on pulsewidth?

Post by modulation »

If I change ONLY the Fuel load scale value for a column , does that change the actual pulse-width time of that whole column in the fuel map?

I noticed today that when I scaled the last fuel map column up, even though the same values were in the fuel map, the target pulse-width changed in that whole column.

from what i can tell because it doesn't change the raw or filtered values then its not making any changes to the map.
To me it seems like the Target A/F, pulsewidth and duty cycle are not used by the ecu but rather just a calculation made by the software.

The pulsewidth value may change based on internal calculation but those numbers are for reference only

The load value is just an indexer into the fuel map where the ECU reads from based on given airflow. The thing to monitor is injection pulse width when actually modifying fuel map values

You're not talking about the "target pulse width" view are you? If not how do I actually view the "real" injector pulsewidth? The consult register injection time LHS ?

Thats the one... Injection time consult register (gauge)

does this work on all ecu's?

yes once you 'tick' it on the register selection box

What about injector pulsewidth RHS?
Just took a couple of comparison logs from two Nistune equipped BNR32s to compare cold start pulsewidths and found a LHS and RHS signal.
Are both active and if so do they refer to the front 3 and rear 3 cylinders respectively?
