O2 Flag?

Post by Torque »

Just a question ...

What does the A/F ratio mean (the one displayed in the cell) when the O2-Flag is enabled ?
I thought when the O2 flag is set, the ECU chases Lambda 1 (14.7) .. and ignores A/F ratios set in the cell?

Doesnt always use the O2 flag (eg cold temperatures or accelearation). O2 closed loop is only when in warm and under cruise conditions

This cell value will still be used outside those conditions

Hello Matt,

I was referring to closed loop operation only ..

So what you are saying is that if for some reason the ECU should be in 'open-loop' mode
and accesses these cell it will use the A/F ratio displayed?

It wont use the actual AFR displayed, but it will adjust injection pulsewidth to the number behind this

When in closed loop dare say the number wouldnt even get used as it would be looking at the O2 narrow band input and then making it richer/leaner to achieve stoich
