rb20det ecu running stock rb25det?

Post by maxgohan »

ok so i finally got around to installing everything and hooking up my shitty netbook to the car

i know i need to change the injector size first so what steps do i need to take to do this??

so far i've loaded the hcr32 adr file from File>Open Address

then i go to Operations>Consult Download
then Oper> Resize Injectors...Current = 270, new: 370 (all 3 'adjust' boxes checked)

now how do i upload this new injector size to the ECU??

sorry i'm a noob

The files are here:

However you have a bigger issue. The RB20 ECU has a TPS idle input line. Your RB25 TPS doesnt have the switch for this line

Means that the ECU wont 'see' when the TPS is idle and will not use idle maps

I developed custom firmware for this situation to use the TPS variable input line from the TPS to simulate the switch. Your board will need to be reprogrammed by myself or distributor with base image programmer to put that firmware on. It will also have the maps to run your RB25

interesting.....how much will this service cost me?

also, what do i do to load the .ent file into my car's ecu?
a short step by step would be much appreciated!!

Edit:
I just sent an email to "Venom Motorsports (Workshop)" to see if they can do this for me. Are they adequately equipped for this service?

Thanks again,
Matt

Depends on who does it. If you send it this way I will just charge for return postage but you are prob better off trying someone closer

Need to remove the board carefully from the ECU and pack in antistatic foam or similar then post it out.

Person reprogramming will take R32 RB25 ENT from that page and reprogram using base image programmer
