Fuel Rail Check Valve = Fuel Pump Control Module ?

Post by louiswun »

Is there any Fuel Pump Control Module in ER34 Neo RB25DET ?
I see there is a check valve on the fuel rail, looks like a fuel pressure regulator but at the entrence side of the fuel rail,
with a vaccume hose linking to the intake plenum,
Is that a device for limiting fuel supply on idle refere to vaccume, and full flow when on boost ?
I see the same design in VQ30 NA, VQ20 NA, RB25 Neo....

I think you'll find that there are 2 pressure dampers plus the usual fuel pressure reg. It's very confusing but if you check the service manual you'll see that it's a pretty standard system except for the extra 2 dampers.

R34 service manual would tell you. Never had to look into this. There should be copies of this manual floating around online. Think I got mine from Skylines Australia
