idle/stalling issue

Post by 1siksx »

Hello, I have a stalling/idling issue.

the car is a s14 95 240sx with a KA24DE Turbo'd motor with a 70 trim turbo (huge I know), it has a Z32 Maf and 660cc injectors.

whenever I am idling or coming to a stop I have to keep giving the car throttle to keep it alive. is there someone out there with a similar setup with a good tune that I could download and try? or what should the values and latency be for the maf and the injectors? I am a total noob and just begun searching so any help would be great! thanks

Could be caused by a bov. How's your setup?

do you have an aftermarket intake manifold? if so is the IACV hooked up? if not i could see that bein a major issue.

if you do have one hooked up or still have the stock manifold you might try putting it in idle/timing adjust mode and setting the timing and idle.

I have the stock manifold and still have an IACV. i'll double check the IACV tomorrow.

how do I put it in idle/timing adjust mode and how do I set it?

I use a program called Conzult or Nissan Data Scan version 1.4 both are free (as long as NDS is ver 1.4)

Conzult is extremely easy to use and its kind of like nistune in the way that you can see whats going on with all the sensors an stuff.

heres a link to download it http://300zx-twinturbo.com/conzult/soft ... onzult.exe

Basically set the port just like you would for nistune because you'll be using your consult cable like you would nistune.

Next push Engine button, then Base Idle Adjustment. You will then set your timing then adjust the IACV (or vice versa but i do it in that order).

Honestly I have no idea why nistune doesn't have this feature, or maybe it does and I haven't found it. But it sure would save me the hassle of using 2 programs.

hope that helps.

also to do this and make adjustments should I have the car started and running or just set the IGN to ON?
