looks like it can
Serial (RS232) connection providing datalogging to PC and Field upgradeable software.
Just need someone to purchase one and I can get the output. According to their forum page
VEMS only spills it's beans when asked to by sending an "A" (0x41)

It then sends back 48 binary bytes which is the following data :-

Some vales are 2 byte (16 bits) like mapADC.

secl = scalar, U08, 0, "sec",
squirt = scalar, U08, 1, "bits",
engine = scalar, U08, 2, "bits",
barometer = scalar, U08, 3, "ADC",
mapADC = scalar, U16, 4, "Pa",
matADC = scalar, U08, 6, "ADC",
cltADC = scalar, U08, 7, "ADC",
tpsADC = scalar, U08, 8, "ADC",
batADC = scalar, U08, 9, "ADC",
egoADC = scalar, U08, 10, "ADC",
egoCorrection = scalar, U08, 11, "%",
airCorrection = scalar, U08, 12, "%",
warmupEnrich = scalar, U08, 13, "%",
rpmVHR = scalar, U16 14, "rpm",
pulseWidth = scalar, U08, 16, "ms",
accelEnrich = scalar, U08, 17, "%",
baroCorrection = scalar, U08, 18, "%",
gammaEnrich = scalar, U08, 19, "%",
veCurr = scalar, U08, 20, "%",
INTdwell = scalar, U08, 21, "mS",
NTspark = scalar, U08, 22, "",
iacPos = scalar, U08, 23, "%",
egt1ADC = scalar, U16, 24, "Deg",
egt2ADC = scalar, U16, 26, "Deg",
ebpADC = scalar, U16, 28, "Deg",
pADC = scalar, U16, 30, "Deg",
misc1ADC = scalar, U16, 32, "Deg",
misc2ADC = scalar, U16, 34, "Deg",
misc3ADC = scalar, U16, 36, "Deg",
misc4ADC = scalar, U16, 38, "Deg",
latgtADC = scalar, U08, 40, "",
knock_cyl_0_knock_val =scalar, U16, 41, "",
knock_cyl_0_noise_val =scalar, U16, 43, "",
knock_cyl_0_adjust =scalar, U08, 45, "Deg",
knock_cyl_0_state = scalar, U08, 46, "",
status1 = scalar, U08, 47, "",
That still doesnt give me the baud rate or parity to connect with but is a start. Would need some sample output to code it up

Matt, this will likely be the wideband I buy as its well supported (and very reasonable in price when purchased with the EGT probe too).

I'd be happy to help with data if you think you can get it running?

I can provide you with a hex terminal program which will spew out the raw data after you probe it

Just a matter of capturing that and then putting in the implementation into nistune

Ok.

I've ordered one so I'll let you know once I've got it up and running. I've also ordered the optional EGT probe to go with it.

Its arrived, quite a neat little package.. very impressed. Suprise to find that there is no external control box and they've managed to fit all the electronics inside the guage housing, nice :)

Will slap it in this weekend I hope.

Matt, if your going to send me stuff to get the data from it can you make sure it comes with idiot proof instructions :D

Thanks

Will do. Can you send me an email to the enquiries address and I'll send through the program to you once you've got everything up and running

VEMS - all coded up and tested with my simulator (tested the simulator against megasquirt guages coded for VEMS). All works well and available in 0.9.2.71 let me know how it goes!

Sorry but i'm a newbe and i have a problem with vems gauge and nistune.
I configured it in menu choosin vems on wideband but when i open wb02 it'll show me the instant afr value and never change. Nistune says 'skipping frames' and then everything crash.
Could you tell me which is the problem? May be the rs232 usb cable?

thank you very much and sorry for my bad english

Which version were you using? Please try 0.10.16 and let me know if happens with that one

Also debug log (File>Configuration>Debug logging) would be useful if its skipping frames. I tested VEMS on this release against my simulator

Ok , so finally did it . Same problem, one flash with afr and egt and then it crash saying skipping frames.
If i try the second time it isn't able to connect.
For trying again i have to eject usb and reconnect
Cuold you have some idea?
Thank you

Please email me a log file

File > Configuration > Debug logging

Restart, retry connection and email me the log file and I'll have a look this week

From the menus find the tick box under File > Configuration

Enable Debug Logging tickbox

Note the location where Nistune tells you where the logs are saved (Normally My Documents\Nistune\Logs)

Restart Nistune

Connect to your VEMS several times (or until the crash)

Email/attach the logs saved in the log folder
