vmp hpx pmas on ka24de

Post by that guy »

car runs rough on idle. onlt smoothes out when throttled. i belive will not hold idle because voltage reading too low on idle speeds. only reading about .300mv ecu needs to see at least 1.00 volt to idle.

1. Decrease 'Low AFM volt enrich' bottom of second list of constants. This is 1000mv currently. Drop to 300mv
2. If still issues then note the AFM trace (using 0.10.16 verison) and increase the VQ map values higher so vehicle runs better at idle (and cells lower than traced at that point)

Matthew just as im about to loose faith. that was the trick. i have version 0.10.18. Low Volt AFM enrich is mis labeled under High gear map coefficient. And set to 500mv. I just set to 200mv. And adjusted hot wire inhalation: .80,160,240mv so i saw about 3.59 ms injector pulse when stop not running. Start is alot easier just mild tweak hear and their. ka24de motor 3.5 inch cold pipe, vmp hpx pmas, bosch 2000cc injectors. no idle air control valves., q45 throttle body. runnen good so far. just one question matt. what vq map should i use the one from the drop down menu or, the ones printed else where on this site. And when i pick hpx 3.5 inch maf on drop down menu and go back it says maf not found, but vq map stays the same. Thanx

Strange I just tried with S13 KA24DE the MAF resize and it worked. Can you post your BIN file here and I'll change it here and post it back (or email me directly). Noticed that with KA24DE you have to adjust injectors first otherwise the K constant is too big if you try MAF resize first (and wont work)

Use 0.10.17 for now as you noticed in 0.10.18 the tables are off by 1. I've pulled the link to that build down now until I fix that on Sunday. Was meant to be done this week (noticed it pretty much next day after I put the build up, but been flat out as usual fixing ecus etc so havent got the fix in yet)

the resize maf and everything works, my car is running and driveable and i have'nt even checked wide bad afr yet just tuned by ear to get up and running. i just noticed with my current bin if i toggle back to see if the current maf is recognised. it say no current maf found. it myte not even cause a problem.

If you modify the VQ map at all Nistune can no longer detect the MAF type

It appears in your bin the first 4 cells of the VQ map were modified from the standard 3.5" which is why its changing to 'none detected'. That will not be an issue
