Starting/fuelling
Well having sorted connection issues it appears my next issue is starting....
Cn anyone give me any pointers this occurs when the engine is hot and cold
Basically the motor just floods itself.
Pull the fuel pump fuse turn key car will attempt to start then fire the fuse back in while still cranking and yeehaa were running sweet.
Any help how to get round this
Thanks

Re: Starting/fuelling
Crank enrich tables will need pulling back as they are not affected by injection multiplier changes
As a guide cut these by the % that your injectors are increased by to begin with

Re: Starting/fuelling
Yo matt on the sr20de map the only enrichment tables I have are
Accel increase fuel
Cold main enrich
Cold secondary enrich
Tps enrichment trigger
Any ideas how the tables should look,
Thanks
comparing them to and s13 map they look totally different.

Re: Starting/fuelling
Which model SR20DE?
B13 etc have crank enrich tables in the later versions of Nistune for a while now. What version of Nistune are you running there?

Re: Starting/fuelling
P11 sr20de with a turbo conversion...
I'll need to get back to you on the version. I'll check for updates on the website

Re: Starting/fuelling
problem sorted. now got them. downloaded the latest version.
Re: Starting/fuelling
I uploaded the latest software the map went haywire. I've now went back the old version 13 software.
the issues im getting is nightmare to start then removing the fuel pump fuse itll run great. just the idle wont settle at all.
then im getting the odd consult disconnect which I thought I had cured...
the new problem is once the car had heated up to around 60 degress coolant temp i let out the gas and the engine died.
but once warm the car wasnt for starting....
help appreciated think im at the extent of my knowledge with this one

Re: Starting/fuelling
Okay stock Injection Multiplier = 287 and yours in 286
What size injectors are you using? Are you running Q45 MAF? That is what your tune is showing
Crank enrich tables in your current tune are untouched at the moment

Re: Starting/fuelling
hi matt its 550 injectors from an Evo 8. its the q45 im using also.
Ive left the crank enrich alone. the symptons are that I have to yank out the fuel pump fuse to get it running.
but when the engines warmed up I cant start it no matter what I do.
so would that be the crank enrich aswell as cold/warm enrich tables aswell. reason I've left them is I wasnt sure how much I should be pulling out or adding on.
does that injection multiplier look ok? am I right in saying the closer to standard the better?

Re: Starting/fuelling
ok theres progress made if you can believe it!! were now starting on the key without any fuse nonsense!
the next issue is the bad or lack of idling...
tried a couple of things
revised bin for a quick laugh!!

Re: Starting/fuelling
What are your AFRs like throughout the rest of the rev range before adding fuel? Need to know your K is set correctly
I've noticed you've added more fuel in the fuel map but you should really get your idle running properly firstly before doing that kind of tuning. Your injection multiplier is higher than what I auto calculated (286 vs 231 auto calced)
Is 0.5ms correct injection time @ 14v for those injectors? Factory is 0.6ms so I'm not sure why you reduced this. Would affect your idle here
Just wondering if you have your injection multiplier too high and have needed to pull back latency to compensate?
What if you try my tune attached and then pull the K into place to get injection right (dont boost because fuel and timing are still from NA maps) and then get the latency to what the injectors should be for
After this copy your fuel and timing maps over (load comparison image, then use copy feature) and review
