got my car up and running with drivibility issues

Post by speedemon »

my set up is:
redtop sr20det
gt2871r .86a/r running 8psi
264 cams
nismo 740cc injectors
greddy fmic
bliz blow off
j30 maf
stock intake
stock exhust

here are my issues
it idles at about 13.9 a/f and a little rough
when driving at 2000-3000 rpms it studders and the A/F is 14.9-16
after about 3500rpms it takes off and pulls hard but i seen 17 A/F
i tried adjusting the K con but no matter if i ran it up or down it didn't change A/F until i got to 14000 then it would bearly run
can any one help?

BIN file?

Do you see the injection time change as you adjust the AFRs using K constant. Needs to be richer

i found one issue today while looking at nistune
my voltage on my o2 sensor doesn't change it stays at zero no matter how i change my K
and it got me thinking the ECU only looks at the o2 below low 3000 right after that it pulls off the fuel map and that's where my car picks up and starts going good
so I'm going to order a new one this week
that should help a lot
i wish more people would post their tunes so people that are just starting out can compare their tunes to one that are good but it seems like everyone wants to keep their tunes top secret like its gold and no one else can see it and tuners i have talked to never want to tell you what they do like if everyone knew they would be out of a job i just don't get it

Your BIN says your using the Late J30 MAF which should be the pink stickered J30 MAF with a screen on only one side are you sure that is the MAF you are using cause that one is a little rarer and less comonly used.

The Z32 and the early Infiniti J30 use the same MAF which is the popular orange labled MAF more commonly used.

If it came off a 1993 Infinti J30 then its the same MAF the Z32 uses and should have a orange label with the part number 22680-30P00 on it.

So you should be using the Z32-VG30DETT (500HP) selection in the drop down menu.

These are the other cars that use the other J30 MAF (PINK LABLE) this MAF is most likely the one titled J30-VG30DE_LATE (500 HP) selection in the drop down menu.

i changed it to the z32 maf and turned off o2 sensor and its driving better with it off so i know it the o2 ill get a new one this week then i should be able to go forward i did notice that it is leaning out at higher rpm now though so i guess i need to add fuel at the top end

What ecu are you using cause some sr20det ecu's require the titania o2 sensor rather than the zirconia o2 sensor AKA skinny vs fat o2 sensor types.
