Rb20Det GTR Injector Question

Hi Lads,

I want to install GTR injectors in my 1990 GTS T with nistune installed. I come across a post that claimed that some GTST came with low impedance injectors installed. This can be identified by a silver box on the PS strut tower. Is there any truth to this? Or just more Internet bullshit? Wanted to confirm before I purchase the GTR resistor pack and hack into the loom

The last GTST RB20DET I worked on had high impedance purple-ish-brown injectors.

The resistor box that the owner refered to at the time, looked the same as the one you are refering to, that he also said was for his injectors, after doubting his knowledge I proved via inspection that the customer is often wrong.
the silver box has no electrical impact on the injector wiring loom at all.

There would need to be at least 4 wires on any device that is used for an injector resistor box with an RB20 Stock ECU.

so I doubt it.

Easy solution. Measure the injector resistance with a multimeter. High impedance between 12-16 ohms

GTR injectors are definitely low impedance measuring 2-4 ohms

Thanks guys, I was highly sceptical with only two wires coming out of it. I will measure the injectors to confirm anyway
