Nats 2.0 200sx S14A question about wiring

Post by janmf1983 »

Hi.
Sorry for my bad english but hope you pepole understand anyway.

I have a late 98, so i have the nats immu on the iginiton barrel(Similar system as the s15) and not up by the fan as earlie s14a had
My qustion is, is this normal wires that goes from the nats immu to the ecu? Or is it some kind of special wire (Signal wire or something like that?)

S14A (EDM) / S15 (ADM) uses bidirectional communications line to NATS IMMU unit

ECU pin 8 (NATS IMMU – Anti-theft system)

And that will say that I can't change it with a normal wire?

I'm not sure if that wire is shielded or not. I dont think it would be since it does not enter the engine bay (similar to the consult wires are not shielded and are communications lines)

I think normal wire should be okay

I did one custom loom for plug in SR20det s14a into CA18det S13 and I did use non shielded wire for nats module and antenna without any problem, also I use antenna from s14 , NATS from almera, key chip from P11 and ECU from s14a so it is interchangeable. I have to use OEM consult for sync as that NIStune sync function didn't respond.

Ok.
I have tried with h-dev nats sync and even been to Nissan, Nissan program also stops in the middel of the sync of the keys.
Incording to workshop manual it is then a prob with the ecu, but we have try serval ecu and immu units.

But will change the wiring in the start of the next month so will see if that fix the prob.

Can't this be fixed by simply programming a base image from an Aussie car? Aussie S14a does not have NATS.
