Re: Ka24det 4000rpm limit problem
ok so just put the new maf on and it still doing the running rich at idle and wanting to die. i have the k constant around 17000 and the latency at 900 even when i mess with the latency it doesnt do much to change the richness its around 10.5 a/f at idle and when i punch the throttle it goes super lean .
Re: Ka24det 4000rpm limit problem
Okay open up the AFR tracer. With K set so you get about 14.7:1 at 2000rpm do a trace (and log in stream mode) from 1000rpm upto about 5000rpm standstill (not much load)

Re: Ka24det 4000rpm limit problem
Any thoughts ? I just bought a new tps made it run better . But it's still rich at idle and on light throttle it goes lean . So from what I think i need to adjust the scalers ?

Anyone ?
Re: Ka24det 4000rpm limit problem
If you play back the log file it only has AFRs. No RPMs etc. Cant do anything with it
Make sure consult is connected in 'stream mode' and you also have your AFRs recorded. I should be able to see a full AFR trace with consult data on playback. Try playback first before posting here to save time looking at an empty log effectively
Do this run with the tune I posted uploaded and burned in (your previously posted tunes dont appear correct) and adjust K in it until vehicle runs better then do the log file

Re: Ka24det 4000rpm limit problem
Hey Matt so this whole things been stumping me how my car could just change so the car runs like shit with any tune I put in there even the base one you gave me . So I had my old enthalpy ecu and 800cc injectors and I installed them back in and the car runs completely fine other than a little lean at idle because I have blow through maf . So I think there is something wrong with the ecu . Because mechanically there's nothing wrong . Could the ecu just mess up? And is there a way to test it or find out ?
Re: Ka24det 4000rpm limit problem
With the enthalpy ECU installed, inside Nistune connect to this ECU. Then use the sync button (down arrow) to read the maps out
Reinstall the other ECU with Nistune board installed and sync back (up arrow) into this ECU. See if the ECU runs the same as the enthalpy ECU
If not then with the enthalpy ECU do Operations > ROM Download and email me the file so have a look at the tune

Re: Ka24det 4000rpm limit problem
Got it running right with the tune off the enthalpy ecu. But when I turned it off it didn't want to start I think the plugs are fouled
Re: Ka24det 4000rpm limit problem
Did you burn the tune from the enthalpy into the Nistune board before powering off the car? If not then you will need to upload it again and then burn

Re: Ka24det 4000rpm limit problem
yes i did! It will start easy cold. but once its warmed up i have to hold the throttle full to get it to start .
Re: Ka24det 4000rpm limit problem
Does it have that problem with the original Enthalpy ECU?
What we can do is a full download of the Enthalpy ECU
1. Plug the Enthalpy ECU into vehicle
2. Connect to vehicle with Nistune
3. Operations > Download ROM image
4. Save to disk and email to me info@nistune.com
5. Upload into your Nistune board and try again
I will look at your cranking maps 'Crank Enrich' to see that the injection time is reduced by % of injector adjustment on warm crank. You can check this too
