Have a z32 with vg30dett and nistune type 2.
Been running good befor but after swaping tanother car we started burning ptu's.
Both gen 1 and gen2.
Sofar we have checked eartpoints and eartlines. Conections to ptu and switched to known good coils.
What I have found are that ecu gives 0,5-0,6 V at idle insted of manuals 0,1 V at pin 101,103,105, 110, 112 and 114.
Is that to much for ptu?
Is ecu burned or can that be adjusted?

Re: z32 type 2 burning ptu
What is PTU?
Injector teminals you are talking about should have about 14 ohms reistance on each line
ECU pulls the singal to 0 volts when injectors are active, otherwise the signal will float
This cannot be adjusted

Re: z32 type 2 burning ptu
PTU=Power Transistor Unit
Re: z32 type 2 burning ptu
Okay. Injectors have an 'injector driver' in the ECU. Only power transistor unit would be for the coil packs
So are you saying the drivers in the ECU itself are burning up? Obviously a wiring related issue, but not something I can diagnose on the forums.

Re: z32 type 2 burning ptu
Upps, wrong pins mentioned earlyer.
Signal to ptu are 1,2,3,11,12 and 13 and was the one we measured....
No my theori is that ecu might give to high voltage for ptu and that might be why ptus burns....
Tryed a oem ecu sortly and that one gave 0,1 V as manual says it should.
So I will try moving Nistune to that ecu and hope for the best....
