TPS voltage stuck at 5.10V

Post by Moss »

Hi guys

Having an issue with my car, the TPS readout is staying pegged at 5.10V (ie WOT) ive tried adjusting the TPS, even unplugged the ECU still reads 5.10V. I'm thinking it could be an issue with the ECU itself. Last mod I did was to install a HPX MAF, which went fine. The car wont go into idle circuit and runs rich at light cruising throttle because of this.

Car is an A31 Cefiro running a FP1 R32 RB20DET ECU on an RB30ET. Im running an S15 fish shape TPS on an aftermarket TB.

Any help or experiences would be greatly appreciated!

If its stuck at 5.1V then measure the TPS input line at the ECU and check voltage there

If that shows 0V (With TPS disconnected) it would be an electrical issue with the ECU.

For the info of others.

Problem was a pretty easy fix, broken wire inside one of the connectors at the TPS.

Good to see sorted easily, and not the ECU
