Hello,
I wanted to know if the HPX N1 mafs are heat sensible ? I know there is an intake air temp built in also, so is it just an info for the ECU or to compensate heat (not "air" heat but "physical" heat) ?
Thanks.
HPX N1 MAF heat sensible ?
Re: HPX N1 MAF heat sensible ?
From Nick @ PMAS
The intake air temp on this sensor does not need to be used or connected to anything. It has ambient temp sensing imbuiltThe separate air temp sensor is not needed for a Mass flow sensor. The change in air temp is reflected in the output of the sensor. Only volume flow sensors like Karman need the air temp sensor. Most ECu's use the external temp sensor for timing correction and some cold start fuel.
Re: HPX N1 MAF heat sensible ?
Okay thank you, I have issues where my AFRs are leaner after a 20-30km drive, I noticed that my AFM tube is not that cold or sometimes hot so that's why I asked, if it could be in relation.
Re: HPX N1 MAF heat sensible ?
Should not be but you can contact PMAS (Mass air direct) since they designed and developed the sensor

Ok, thanks !
