installation of update issue

Used search - hadn't found an answer

symptoms:
downloaded 1.2.6 (76)- start-nothing.
reboot at safe mode - start- diag box "can't start program"


Own suggestions: system requirements changed (running 32 vista - yes still vista, cause anough for a laptop, which often get into garage).


other suggestions?
