Additional High temp enrichment for M30 ECU?

Post by my1path »

This was touched on briefly in another thread so when you get time could you find out if there is an over temp table available for the M30 ecu.
Or some possible way to increase fuel when coolant temp gets really high?
On longer drives and hard pulls I'll see 100c/212f and engine seems to want more fuel once it gets there.
I can manually increase the map when it gets that hot but I have to revert back because on most days it only sees about 85c/185f so the additional enrichment is not always needed.

Thanks

I am trying to set up the Temp Enrich to add more fuel when the Temps exceed 193F for additional fuel cooling. My engine will run up to 210F (99c) out here on hard drives which is fine but it begs more fuel at that temp vs when its running at 180F (82C)
That table is only used upto about 80-85degC and then is no longer used. You wont be able to add it for over this normally

The SR20 engines have an overtemp set of tables but not sure about these earliers. Would need to dig into that further to see if there is something. I have some other items to work on in the meantime but will get back to this. Putting version 1.2.7 up today with the above fixes

Updated the problem report

Suggest change values in hex editor (FFCC = FF, FFCB = FF) and see what happens

I don't have a M30 ECU here at the moment to check with, but there are no tables I can see (like there are with SR20)

Closing this one out. Modifying those parameters stops the injection increase on the bench during testing (when high coolant temps). Could not locate any table. Also knock map for M30 is not referenced (hence not used) by ECU code

Sorry I have not been as active on this. Been out of country for a while and struggling to get caught up with everything now that I am home.

No issue. It's been a long time since I looked into this and it did take a while to go through, but hopefully it helps
