If it isnt a problem or a suggestion it probably goes here.

NEO RB25 ECUs have the spare evaporation solenoid control valve. This is already PWM and can be reused for boost control. Currently that is in FP2 firmware and works to a certain extent, except with the current firmware it randomly will drop duty % to 0% for an unknown reason around 6000rpm on the dyno. Not bench repeatable which is a pain, but something I need to investigate and fix. It did take a while to adjust the frequency of this however. None of the port addresses on this processor are documented, and it took some trial and error to work out which registers setup what ports.

S14-S15 SR20DET come with duty cycle output for free, so that is good

S13 SR20DET can have the EGR output or similar reprogrammed as a duty cycle output (same with SR20DE ECUs). Its been done before, but I need to work out the port addresses to control and adjust (simialr to NEO ECUs)

RB20DET ECUs have the output fuel pump control output (which we use already for VCT on 11Uxx models) and the 04Uxx models have a driver to the second (unused) LED output. Potentially on 04Uxx ECUs we keep the LED output for VCT and attempt to re-used the unused fuel pump output as a PWM, assuming the NEC uPC driver is happy with being driven as PWM. This would still take some time similar to Z32 ECU to work out how to program the auxillary chip and setup timers to run PWM. Once again I look at AAC code setup for PWM and use this to make one for boost (if possible)

Update for the following models:
S13 SR20DE
52F0F, 52F1F
B13 SR20DE
64Y0F, 67Y0F, 71Y0F
B14 SR20DE
1M86F, 1M87F
P10 SR20DE
70J0F, 70J1F
P11 SR20DE
2J20F, 3J40F, 3J50F, 3J80F, 3J90F

Increase RPM input from 8012rpm to 12,500rpm. Increase RPM limiter to suit

ENT files in the attachment. These have been bench tested (not vehicle tested) at this point. Interested for people to try this out

Good stuff!

Given the N14 SR20DE ECU is very similar to the B13 SR20DE (all same memory addresses for parameters), I've been able to add FP to this one (including VCT output)

Ethanol output etc will be displayable in next Nistune version

Would love a nitrous output, and also do you think it would be possible to get a second fuel/timing table for vvl that would just be great. I know that maybe that's too much for you right now but maybe it would be something to consider. Thank you for all your hard work Matt.

Probably not enough demand for nitrous output specifically, but I was thinking how to set up with the current system after discussing with someone the other day:

1. Use a double pole relay. Trigger relay from nitrous switch

Pole 1: Connect the flex input (0-5V) to relay switched output, and other side of relay switch to 5V (this tells ECU to adjust fuel and timing for nitrous)

Pole 2: Connect to nitrous system

2. Setup ECU for nitrous:

Flex fuel content table:

0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 63 63 63 63 63 63 63
(0V = no extra fuel, 5V = 100% extra fuel)

In the Flex Fuel map, add extra numbers here for extra fuel required when nitrous kicks in

Timing flex content table:
63 63 63 63 63 63 63 63 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0
(0V = extra timing, 5V = no extra timing)

In the main Timing map, reduce this by the amount of timing you want reduced when on nitrous. Now that extra mount (say 10 degrees) then add to the 'flex timing map'

During normal operation when switch is inactive, normal timing will be achieved by using the main+flex timing map with 0V input. Once nitrous is enabled, then main+flex fuel is used and only timing in timing map is used

Matt is it possible to put mil shift warning now that the sr20s have a higher rpm limit also some b13 tach are just crap so this would be precise for drag shifting

Just at a certain RPM only?

Yes, so that it can notify the driver when to shift if you can do it by gear it would be even better but to start just one rpm in all gears will work

ECU does not know which gear that the vehicle is in. That is all changed by the speed and gear ratio of each vehicle. That can also change. I would at best only be able to flash the CEL at a predetermined RPM

I've used a feature in some softwares that can register the speed at 3k for each gear manually that would do the trick for cel shift light by gear because there are so many different trannys in nissan. But i would be more than happy to get just a single rpm cel shift light it helps allot

I've coded up how it will work in my head and put into a problem report. I might just try it on B13 code when I do the next firmware update
