Consult cable from aliexpress

Post by kamilp1908 »

Hi.
I have this consult cable: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000241208883.html
Does anybody use similar cable?

Before installing Nistune Type 3 board I could connect ECU using Nistune software.
But after installation Nistune board I can't connect to ECU with Nistune software.

Is there problem with cable or maybe Nistune board uses different/extended protocol version?

Sounds like board install problem if you cannot connect. All cables should be the same as far as protocol, just the PLMS ones have better noise filtering

I think that board should be ok, because I can start car.
And I am sure that board is working ok, due to the uploaded maps in Nistune are from different car and engine works different from stock ecu.
Maybe I made a mistake when I have soldered the 2x20 gold pin connection port. Which line is responsible for communication with consult in this port?

Check 'communications and diagnostic' guide on website. Just because car starts, it might be in limp mode. Check list in document for each ECU.

Ok. I will do according to manual.
First thing I will resolder std ECU jumper and validate this cable.

I have checked the LED on board with Nistune board inside. It is ON, so You are right (it is in limp mode). I have to check all 2x20 gold pin connections. It is only place where I could have made a bad soldering.
